George Will: ‘Quite Literally, The Opposition to Gay Marriage Is Dying’

While Supreme Court watchers ponder how justices will come down in the debate over gay marriage, ABC’s George Will said Sunday on ABC News “This Week” it’s clear where public opinion is headed.

“There is something like an emerging consensus,” Will said, noting voters in three states recently endorsed same-sex marriage initiatives. “Quite literally, the opposition to gay marriage is dying. It’s old people.”

Democratic strategist James Carville agreed the 2012 election marked a “profound” shift on the controversial issue. ...

I never knew that taking the pill was a sin. What about using rubbers? Are we just suppose to have children every year until it just doesn't work anymore? Who can afford to have 20 children and what woman's body could handle such a continuous assault? How do we control things without sinning?
Thanks...

I think I should clarify that I am also against birth control, however I am fortunate to have had opportunity to take the edge off of my stance and realize that some situations benefit from the pill, however few they may be.

John Y, I have a sister in law who requires birth control pills when her cycle gets of of control. I will pray that Gods love will break through in more powerful way in your life and that you learn represent the authority you claim with much less flippancy!

Dylan from Paraguay, stay in Paraguay :-) I will pray you hear the truth before you perish.

1 John 2:9(should read the whole book, very short)

You need to learn the difference between a moment and a decade.

America is damned and will suffer the wrath of God through the hands of the wicked Muslims and Marxists, I don't believe any other ending since even the so called church goers in their country are satanically given themselves over to Marxism, Universalism and AntiBible politically correct doctrines.

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Leave the cursed country while you still can legally with any of your power entact as it will even affect your children if you stay since after January 2013 when you die, 55% of most people's estates will then go to their Marxist whore state to fund the abortion genocide and their Satanic fecal sex agenda enforcement strategies, etc.

"[The same-sex marriage battle] was actually lost the moment American heterosexuals succeeded in formally disconnecting sex from marriage. The idea that anyone would be able to limit the sexual revolution to heterosexual adultery and fornication was like saying, “Don’t worry, we’re only going to let one or two evils out of Pandora’s box.""
-PCA Pastor Andy Webb

Pastor Webb correctly identifies the 'big bang' of the sexual revolution as "the moment American heterosexuals succeeded in formally disconnecting sex from marriage." The 1960s (and ever since) were rocked by the Pill and all of its siblings: contraception, abortion and sterilization.

How can a pastor slam same-sex marriage yet allow his members to take the Pill for the last 50 years? You must either allow or reject both evils. Only a hypocrite is silent about the evil he does while railing against the evil he does not.

I have 2 girls, a boy due in 6 weeks, and I am not yet 28(will be the 30th).

As long as I suck air and God gives me the ability to read His Word, pray and know him in a real sense beyond understanding, I will petition tirelessly for men to conform to Gods will, whether that means lusts of the flesh or any other form of idolatry. I praise the Lord for all of the affliction He allows because it purifies, resistance, if the full weight is felt, strengthens, and all of these things according to our ability.

I live in Washington state, I pray revival starts with me. Such darkness cannot help but allow the light standout in stark contrast. May God turn the hearts of our nation from these vain pursuits and nominal Christians that only feed the flame with no more conviction than the demons understand. We aren't gonna change by our Worldview, start at the root of the problem, our hellbent sin worthy of Gods wrath.

What a merciful and longsuffering God we serve!

I am 43 and didn't know I was old and dying. Ask people if they think a homosexual couple is as good as a mother and father in raising a child and they say no. But that is what equality means. Pro sodomite marriage advocates cant have it both ways.

"“Quite literally, the opposition to gay marriage is dying. It’s old people.”"

God is the opposition to homosexual practice. And HE will never die!

The Bible is in opposition to Homosexual practice and it will never die!

And when we get to the stage where there are no more Christians on earth the world will end.

Therefore opposition to homosexual practice will never end.

Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Do I assume correctly that Mr. Will is a Catholic? Is A Catholic Christian An Oxymoron? Catholics seem to comment about him and he does have a lot to say about the Romish Church, q.v., Rome's call: 'Come on over' The problem is the toleration of homosexuality in the Catholic Church, ah and from a conservative source, Poll: Gay Marriage Gaining Support, Especially Among Catholics.

If Presidential election was just held on support of queer marriages then President Obama would have lost, but there were other issues at stake such as saving Obamacare and implementing the "Buffet Rule."

The G.O.P. needed to run on issues they could have won with such such as being against queerness, returning honesty to government and have removed some other issues.

One of the few things that "Wild Bill" Clinton had right was the ability to have a line-item veto, the Republicans should have done a few of those things to party platform, and the Demos should have line-item vetoed queer marriages in their platform.

after decades of constant propogandizing, the public is showing confusion on this issue, no doubt. consensus, I wouldn't go that far. and agreement or acquiescing does not make something right. righteousness does not come out of a few agreeing. and change does not necessarily equal progress. we can easily study history and watch societies agree upon evil ideas that ultimately lead to their destruction.

they think not of how the world they create will look in one generation.

may many trapped in the deceit of this age repent and find mercy in Christ.
