Cannabis with Christ?
Bryan Davies, an evangelical Christian with a long, drifting beard, is the CEO of a family business that doles out marijuana and spirituality in fragrant, faithful harmony.

His Canna Care dispensary, one of Sacramento's longest operating medical marijuana providers, is as renowned for its political activism at City Hall and the state Capitol as it is for its calls to prayer.

California's medical marijuana industry has drawn people from mortgage brokers to car salesman, from hippies to computer geeks, into the marijuana trade. But Canna Care may well stand out for its singular devotion to serving up cannabis with Christ. ...

Was it Spurgeon who said something like, 'I tend my flowers but burn my weeds'?

John Piper wrote:
Habitually smoking cigarettes seems to say, ‘Life doesn’t matter as much as my pleasures do.’ And the fact that it is highly addictive should also encourage Christians to keep their distance.
excerpt from, Is Smoking Sinful?

I'm sure that smoking cannabis is just as harmful as smoking tobacco. There is always the pill, Does the Pot Pill Work?. Who knows? maybe they'll come up with a compromise an electric joint? I can only see cannabis being used in a medical setting.

Yes, John – it was a common medication. I would have to do some digging to find it again but I have seen a medication guide from the turn of the century that had “Cannabis Indica” as an ingredient in over 20 medications. It was used in the treatment of a wide variety of ailments and was of the most utilitarian substances used in the book.
We have two states that just legalized for those 21 and over – Washington and Colorado
Other states that have voted to have it available for medical use only – Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Washington DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Thanks for that info. I think the two states will review their decision after a while, but I hope the others find that medicinal use will be beneficial. I know from reading historical novels that poppy juice was frequently used as a sleeping draught. But that was before the guv decided to impose all their regulations.

I don't understand why this denomination even exists or why they bother to worship God, teach/preach from the Bible, etc. Given their liberal nature, they can't possibly believe that the Bible is the Word of God because they live opposite to what the Bible clearly teaches. For instance, don't they have gay and female preachers? Don't they marry the gays? Don't they invite the gays to take their communion, among other things?
I just don't understand how a preachers and their congregations lives and beliefs can be so far removed from the Word of God and still believe that they are the ones who hold the keys to Heaven.
How is it possible for denominations like this to be so comfortable living and teaching outside of God's word?? I'd be terrified. Like those charlatan faith healers commanding God to come down out of Heaven to knock people over, cluck like chickens, laugh inappropriately, etc, etc. They can't possibly believe in a life after death or they would take the Bible much more seriously, don't you think? So, if you were legally smoking a bone in your home state and walked by a DEA agent, they would most likely arrest and charge you with possession.
The same is true for the states with legal medi mj dispensaries, they are illegal at the Federal level and subject to

Rick is the man in one of the videos - run from the cure. The oil is made from the outside of the flowering plant using an organic solvent. The resulting liquid or tincture is evaporated and when the solvent is gone you have a thick oil that is eaten raw. Processing this way prevents THCa from converting to THC via high heat. This is similar to how physicians administered cannabis to patents in the 19th century.
I am writing because a few years ago i was told by my neurologist and pain mgmt dr that after 250k spent on medications and interventions - they couldn't help me. When i was told the final option was an experimental upper-cervical implant i looked for unconventional solutions.

I used the rick simpson oil. I moved to a neighboring state where the state allows medical use. I saw a Dr, made the oil and after i was cured and off all medications (i was taking 8-12 different meds per day) i was able to move back as a productive member of society and my church.
It's all too vague to be of any use to anyone. What is rick simpson oil? Which state allows medicinal use of what? You "made" the oil?

Man I reckon you're addled.

Why are you posting about this?

Medical information from the Holy Spirit:

James 5:14-15 KJV
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

More medical information from the Holy Spirit:

I John 5:16 KJV
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

1 Corinthians 11:30 KJV
For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

Please watch these two videos. I am a saved man, baptist, and I am now pain free after suffering for five years following a highway accident - thanks to this plant. The railing against this plant has been the result of a coordinated and calculated plan by early industrialists to remove this valuable resource. Search through our history – it was virtually indispensable till the 20th century.

It has been used as:
Paper material - creates 4x more paper making fibers than trees per acre
Building material - the stock material can be combined with lime and water to create “hempcrete” It is an ideal building material
Food – their seeds have a near perfect protein makeup and is a terrific tasting food. You can buy it on amazon!
Medicine – worked for me!

I would encourage you to look into this further. I was a miserable product of the modern medical system. They have an absolute distain towards anything natural – certainly if you say it was created with a purpose.

Run from the cure
raw juicing
Neither of the two methods produces a "High" – the “high” is created following high heat being applied.

The loosening of restrictions on pot growing is causing problems in other states that are more sensible about it, such as Nebraska. Our highway patrol just seized some of this type of pot a couple of days ago, q.v., Deputies Find $25,000 of Marijuana During Traffic . You can't say the pot sellers can't get in the holiday spirit, Trooper Seizes 42 lbs of Holiday Wrapped Marijuana. They may in less of holiday spirit than they were a couple of years ago.
