Angus T. Jones, the 19-year-old star of the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, apologized yesterday after drawing headlines and media ire by calling his show “filth” and advising people to stop watching it in a video testimony for Forerunner Chronicles, a Seventh-Day Adventist website.
“Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked and over the past 10 years who have become an extension of my family,” Jones said in a statement. He also apologized for any indifference or disrespect his remarks may have reflected.
Jones, who is paid $350,000 per episode for the hit sitcom, spent most of the two-part video interview talking about his conversion to Seventh-Day Adventism but also warned viewers against watching his show: “Please stop watching it, please stop filling your head with filth.”...

Well Dopey my friend, laying my cards on the table, I could drink to that, if you'd care to raise your glass.

Thanks James. I'm usually right on top of software but haven't heard of Skyfire. I'll check it right after this. I use Dolphin HD exclusively. I've tried mobile Firefox in the past but found it was slow and the installation was enormous. Maybe it's been streamlined since it's been a while. I run Firefox exclusively on my computer/laptops though for the wealth of plugin options. Good idea on running portable browsers to save wear and tear. I run the page files from my computer and laptops off of high speed thumb drives and SD cards but never thought to run portable browsers off my tablet and phones removable media to extend their lives.

Now here's a puzzle. Are you saying that Jim talks too much?
Dopey, the NASB, James 1:19 says the same thing KJV. My neither of can start a discussion on that one. What did you dislike my comments on tablets?
Ah, for the second comment I referenced, you have to go to the original article of Pilgrimage From Rome to get to their comments about the SDA. This means a person has to be very interested in those comments. (By the way, while this outfit still has the SDA Church listed as a cult, I think they removed all comments about it?) However, there isn't much work to Seventh-day Adventism which considers there is a good possibility that some Adventists are Christian --and some most definitely aren't. "If an Adventist will admit that Mrs. White was fallible, that no record in heaven could possibly bring a believer into condemnation, and that the works of the Law such as Sabbath-keeping are not necessary conditions of salvation, then other things being equal, he should be acknowledged as an evangelical." ---quote from the article. I have no problem at all with that article.
Christopher000, I do use the SA app on my tablets one of the few that I do. But, sometimes looking at my own comments, I will use Skyfire (by the way if you're tablet doesn't support Flash like iPads or older Android ones this is an almost indispensable browser. ), Opera Mobile, Dolphin, and even the browser that comes with Android work well, and will show the URL links. I don't use the browser that comes with Android that often because the other browsers I can put on my SD card. I rather wear that out than the memory in the tablet.
Anyway, give it a try, for example this URL, Pilgrimage From Rome. This has a link in the main article to an "energetic" article describing Adventism.
Thanks James...I didn't notice that yesterday. For some reason, the mobile app does not show links, so Mike, thanks for the explanation which I never got around to Googling.
The founder of the JWs was a seventh day Adventist. Then he figured he could start his own religion too. Much like the JWs, the SDA have been known to believe in the annihilation of the wicked instead of an eternal hell, and believe that believers who die enter a state of soul sleep and that a person must observe the Saturday Sabbath in order to be saved. Other problems with some Seventh-day Adventists are belief in Ellen G. White, the founder of Seventh-day Adventism, as a true prophet of God, even though many of her "prophecies" failed to come true, and that Jesus entered a second phase of His redemptive work on October 22, 1844, as "prophesied" by Hiram Edson.
Boy, I thought good for him at first but he flipped before I could blink. Hopefully, since everything is new to him, God will help him sort things out and begin to seperate him from the world. I think 7th day adventest are good, they just celebrate the Sabbath on Saturdays? I should start using Google for this stuff, I guess.
