Pat Robertson: Dinosaurs from before time of Bible
Televangelist Pat Robertson is telling his audience that dinosaurs are from a time before the Bible and that Planet Earth is older than 6,000 years.
“I know people will probably lynch me for this, but Bishop Ussher, God bless him, wasn’t inspired by the Lord when he said it all took 6,000 years. It just didn’t,” Robertson said Tuesday on “The 700 Club.”
The host was referring to James Ussher, the 17th century archbishop of Ireland who, in his 1650 publication “The Annals of the World,” proffered his belief that the Earth was created Oct. 23, 4004 B.C....
The apostates are the most popular with cultural "Christians"; I know personally many of them- they are spiritually clueless/blind, chasing the fleeting bird of happiness in organized religion.

But when John Ankerberg finds the Bible conveys an Old Earth message, he's a scholar, Bible expert and theologian. You can't have it both ways, Jim. Which do you choose?
Very well said! My guess is since he uses Ankerberg in his arguments, then he will ignore your request. Ankerberg and Robertson are both adding to scripture. As an aside, I listened to a CD where Ankerberg argued for an old earth and said he was interpreting the bible "literally". AMAZING!

Jim Lincoln wrote: Unfortunately, there have been quite a few Old Earth types, who can have an effect on pliable minds such as Paddy Robertson, he happens to a charlatan, but no matter on that topic. You really should look at listen to series given by Don Goertzen: God, Man, and the Universe Introduction part 2 which will not only give you a short summary of what is in this class presentation but links to both the mp3 and pdf files, the latter being, God, Man, and the Universe Introduction part 2 (PDF file). Hugh Ross, happens to be one of the biggest proponents of "Old Earth," thus leading down the path out of the Garden. Anyway, take a look and listen to these, oh and you can always start with part 1 of the above series.
Pat Robertson probably heard this from god, just like he "heard from god" that Matt Romney would win the election. The god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4) speaks only lies.
Pat Robertson: globalist. He is pushing an agenda that glorifies the assumed knowledge of man. If people really know the scriptures, they realize much goes on between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. And much more goes on in Genesis 10:25. Men who doubt or demean the scriptures always end up professing themselves to be wise and showing themselves to be fools.
So you have death and destruction before God created Adam and Eve and said that His creation was VERY GOOD ! Your so wrong Mr Robertson Do everyone a favour not least yourself and learn to trust God's Word.
Is anybody surprised about the mess coming from this guy still? Always expect it from that quarter... Does anyone take him seriously any more? Unfortunately, yes...

Ken Ham: where are you? Please sit down and have a talk with this guy! I missed that verse in the Bible that says dinosaurs existed before man. Silly me: I assumed that when God said that He created ALL the animals during the creation week that He meant "all" the animals, including dinosaurs.
The devil's goal is to present lies as truth. Once the lie is accepted, to all intents and purposes, in the mind of the victim, it becomes the truth. Such is the case here.

At least Ussher started with the truth, i.e. the Word of God.
Christopher, you said: "I was just thinking that maybe I should have posted under a more interesting headline. People might be seeing the Morgan Stanley recession headline and thinking, boring!, so they just avoid clicking to read the comments."

Carbon dating isn't accurate because the atmosphere was much different before the flood. I used to have an issue with this but now believe that man and dinosaurs lived at the same time. Dinosaurs were also vegetarian before the flood. Also, I think dinosaurs looked much different than artists renderings. Yes, they look ferocious when you see their skeletons, but any skeleton, human or otherwise, looks pretty scary if you don't know what it is.
I have a great deal more confidence in the works of James Ussher than anything iterated or written by Pat Robertson. Only in this downgraded, apostate, TV watching, lukewarm age does anyone listen to anything this gentleman has to say.
