Rick Warren on Gay Marriage: 'Tolerance Does Not Mean Approval'
Saddleback Church pastor Rick Warren has said that being tolerant of homosexuals does not mean one approves of their choices, while appearing on "CBS This Morning" Tuesday to promote the re-release of his book, The Purpose Driven Life, on the 10th anniversary of its publication.
The California megachurch pastor said that according to the Bible, people need to be tolerant of all views, just like Jesus was – but that does not mean approving of all choices.
"Gay marriage is a very personal question," Warren responded when asked why he does not support it. "I have biblical views regarding what marriage is about. I am not in favor of redefining marriage, I'm not. It's not illegal to have a gay relationship, so it's not a big issue to me."...
Tolerance is too often used to silence those who affirm the truth. you are right, i mispoke, rick warren is not "the antichrist" but he is a mouthpiece for "the antichrist" and he does represent the spirit of antichrist in his blaspemies. sorry for the confusion but my point was to express how terribly deceptive he and others like him are and how terribly decieved the posters are at the christian post. peace.

The authority of a man of God is the Word of God. Does it matter what I personally think or I what I personally believe? I am not in the same situation he was, but he missed an opportunity to state very clearly what God's Word says about homosexuality.
On a similar subject, many pastors do not actually believe the Bible is God's Word. Many pastors have an eclectic view of God, Jesus, and true Christianity: They prefer to call themselves Christians, but they just pick out only what they like. They like to talk about love, but they throw out all the parts about discipleship and the wrath of God coming upon the sons of disobedience, etc.
Does Rick Warren believe all the Bible? Maybe he does.

Does he really think this is "tolerance"???.... Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is ABOMINATION. 24 DEFILE not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations ARE DEFILED which I cast out before you: 25 And THE LAND IS DEFILED: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants."
Considering the verse on homosexuality is placed between the burning of babies in idolatry and - beastiality - - (do we tolerate that too) - Perhaps the truth is that Mr Warren cannot read/receive the truth in Scripture!!!
