Franklin Graham Was 'Shocked' to Find Mormonism Is a Cult Article on BGEA Site
A month after the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association removed an article describing Mormonism as a "cult" from its website, ministry head Franklin Graham clarified on Wednesday that he was unaware of the article's existence.
The evangelist told CNN that he did not write the article and that he was "shocked" to find the article on the BGEA website.
"We have 10,000 pages and I don't write the 10,000 pages. Other people have written it. There was a discussion as to what a cult was and they (the article) had a definition of a cult and then they gave some examples and when I found out there were examples they took them off. But I was shocked that we even had that on there," Graham said, as he described the "cult" reference as name-calling....

While in Romans, I clicked on something which brought up a window linked directly to SermonAudio! The window provided lists of sermons related directly to the book being read...pretty neat. Anyway, I'm wondering about Bibles since there are so many. Can anyone tell me the few that are the most accurate? So far, I have the KJ, the modern KJ, and a literal translation. How about the new KJ?
One more that you could add, Christopher is KJ+ which includes the Strongs.
Add-ons include Calvin's Institutes, Matthew Henry Commentary (full or concise), Spurgeon, and some other commentaries which I wouldn't personally recommend, although it may be worth having them for reference.

I like the KJV Bible. I purchased a KJV Bible from Dollar Tree Store for one dollar. I read along with the Catholic Bible that I own.

KJV uses archaic language and is defunct for most moderns:

The KJV doesn't work for evangelism either since many of its words are obsolete.

Correct, Martin. If there is no faith in Christ, there can be no biblical love which comes from Christ.
Martin Luther wrote: Nowadays there are many such idolaters who want to be counted among the true confessors of the Gospel. They may even teach that men are delivered from their sins by the death of Christ. But because they attach more importance to charity than to faith in Christ they dishonor Him and pervert His Word. They do not serve the true God, but an idol of their own invention. The true God has never yet smiled upon a person for his charity or virtues, but only for the sake of Christ's merits.

But this does confirm the religious heterodoxy of the Graham's and their organisation. They have already stated that papists are kosher too so there is a definite unBiblical slant to their theology. They are false witnesses and many follow their pernicious ways. (2Peter 2:1,2)
If they don't know much about their own church history and they refuse to blow the dust off of old catholic tomes, chances are they'll always miss the trinity when preparing a sermon.
I just do not understand how men of such high caliber, and having such a deep knowledge of the Bible, can comprimise so comfortably. I don't get it and I would be terrified of God's judgement.

I saw Graham on TBN while flipping through channels. I knew then he had compromised. The Graham foundation had to justify their political adds this past campaign, therefore had to take Mormonism off the cult list. This is why he said all of this. They could not look like hypocrites before an upright and legitimate media (sarcasm).
This is politically correct hog wash. When I see it, I'll call it on liberals and conservatives alike. By definition Mormonism is a cult. The truth shall set you free. Although I do think that we can work together as a society without regard to our religious convictions when we support the greater good, such as putting a stop to abortion, I do not believe that we can call cults any more nor any less than what they are. If we don't hold a standard, it won't be long before Tom Cruise and his ilk will be making inroads into the main stream church. Telling the truth is not name calling.

Will "cult" ever be used on anyone? Of whom do you plan to exclude from comming to Christ?
