Gay Marriage Advocates Win on Ballot Questions in Three States
In a major shift in America's culture wars, advocates of gay marriage won in at least three states Tuesday, as voters in Maine and Maryland voted in legal recognition of same-sex marriage, while Minnesotans shot down a proposed amendment to the state constitution to define marriage as exclusively between a man and a woman. Voters in the state of Washington also had an initiative to legalize same-sex marriage on their ballots Proposition 74, and as of Wednesday afternoon the tallied votes were showing a slight lead in favor of the measure.
Maine and Maryland became the first states to adopt same-sex marriage by popular vote. In Maine it was a reversal of a decision rendered by the voters just three years ago, when they voted in November of 2009 to repeal a same-sex marriage law approved by the legislature and signed by the governor earlier that year. This time, proponents of the change led by...
Dolan tells bishops to examine their own failings Annual USCCB conference opens on a note of humility

BALTIMORE — After sweeping setbacks to the hierarchy’s agenda on Election Day, New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan on Monday (Nov. 12) told U.S. Catholic bishops that they must now examine their own failings, confess their sins and reform themselves if they hope to impact the wider culture.
“That’s the way we become channels of a truly effective transformation of the world, through our own witness of a repentant heart,” Dolan, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, told the 250 bishops gathered here for their annual meeting.
“The premier answer to the question ’What’s wrong with the world?’ is not politics, the economy, secularism, sectarianism, globalization or global warming ... none of these, as significant as they are,” Dolan said, citing many of the issues that have become favorite targets of the hierarchy.
Instead, Dolan said, quoting English writer and Catholic convert G.K. Chesterton, the answer is contained in two words: “I am.”
Maryland and Minnesota are liberal states, Maine is no evangelical stronghold, so it is easy to see how they could have voted for something that most liberals support. But remember that Republicans still control most US state legislatures. And that there are more people who have colorblindness (about 8 to 10 percent of men) than are homosexual, even their own apologists say the frequently cited "ten percent" number is wrong.

Really Jim, give it up. Like a moral relativism (after all, he said his agnostic mom still made it to heaven), black liberation theology (20 years in Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church), Muslim adherent (well documented),gay rights advocate (seeing that is what the article is addressing)/pro abortion Catholic ticket shows superior spiritual depth and insight.
I see I really made a jumble out of a sentence! "...But, this does seem to point that many are following The Roman Road that has been pointed out is the correct one, but rather:"
Something better would be, while many are following The ...Roman Road, others are going down a road that rather leads to hell!
Strange that these states who voted this end unlike the previous states that support queer marriage through legislative or judicial manipulation, don't have that large of Catholic populations. Catholics, unofficially, are the biggest supporters of queer "rights."

Maybe younger generations are more accepting of this because older generations don't teach them any better.
But, this does seem to point that many are following The Roman Road that has been pointed out is the correct one, but rather:
Romans 1 24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, that their bodies might be dishonored among them. 25 For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural,---NASB

Couldn't agree more.
Younger generations being far more accepting of homosexuality tells me that we are barely a generation away from becoming Sodom.
Reminds one of Bubonic Plague in the middle ages. This Black Death wiped out 25 million (up to 60%) of 14th century Europe with almost no explanation. Eventually the cause was isolated to be a deadly bacteria in fleas traveling on rats. Two-thirds of those bit would die within four days.
What is this 'flea' of our day transforming a country once known as a “A Shining City on a Hill” [R. Reagan, 1976] to one that is ""pagan to the core," at risk of becoming an “Evil Empire.”" [R.C. Sproul]?

And I believe you are right Russ and the same goes for Scotland and the whole of the United Kingdom.
I believe that this is a sure sign that we, as a nation, have crossed that point of no return that leads to a Romans 1 giving over to depravity on a national scale. The only thing left is national repentance or judgement.
