Bishop orders priests to read anti-Obama letter at Sunday sermons
Joining the chorus of Roman Catholic clergy in Illinois criticizing President Barack Obama before next week's election, Peoria Bishop Daniel Jenky ordered priests to read a letter to parishioners on Sunday before the presidential election, explaining that politicians who support abortion rights also reject Jesus.
"By virtue of your vow of obedience to me as your Bishop, I require that this letter be personally read by each celebrating priest at each Weekend Mass," Jenky wrote in a letter circulated to clergy in the Catholic Diocese of Peoria.
In the letter, Jenky cautions parishioners that Obama and a majority of U.S. senators will not reconsider the mandate that would require employers, including religious groups, to provide free birth control coverage in their health care plans. "This assault upon our religious freedom is simply without precedent in the American political and legal system,"...

You're still spouting that nonsense that Muslims are Pro Life? Where do you come up with that nonsense? The Koran commands Muslims to kill the infidels who according to the Koran are the Jews, Christians and every other Non Muslim. There are no Pro Life Muslims period. Any idiot who knows the teachings of the Koran knows that.
John Y., Muhammadans are just as anti-abortion as the Romish Church, of course like those Christians who much more Republican than Christian they also suffer from, The Inadequacy of Moralism After someone is born they don't care what happens to "it."
Why Mike of N.Y., I made a moral decision, which God will no doubt take notice of, but take notice of the sermon that Gil just recently preached, The Inadequacy of Moralism, the summary which could be, "The love (in the moralist of virtue, but in the Christian) of God himself."--Hammond
There was also a lot of local issues and candidates to vote on, so a protest vote about candidates on the national scene was not work at all!

Your honey wagon is overflowing, Jim.
Perhaps if you truly believe point 1, you might as well stay home? Yet I'm sure you somewhere reminded us several dozen times to render unto Caesar, which according to what you promote, this election is about. You wouldn't deliberately avoid rendering unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's as commanded by Christ, would you?
If you truly believe point 2, no evil should ever be resisted, for it is of no use to him doing the reaisting, especially if he's a Christian. (I know, I know, we can't resist the power, so the exception is it's ok to resist evil if a king tells you to)

Oh sure Muslims that are Pro Life? What a joke that is. The Koran states that Muslims should kill the infidels who are according to the Koran are Jews and Christians. And then you have the temerity to state that Muslims are Pro Life? That really is sick stating that Muslims are Pro Life.

True true, the ultimate weapon in changing the way men think and act is the gospel of Christ. But to say it matters not whether we vote because it is all in God's hands. By the saem logic it matters not if we pray, because it is all in God's hand. It matters not if we witness, because it is all in God's hand. Ezekiel 36:36b, 37 I, the Lord, have spoken it, and I will do it.â€
37 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this for them: I will increase their men like a flock.
Notice after saying that He would do it, the Lord still instructs the children of Israel to pray for it to be done. If I misunderstood your comment, I apologize.

What a great comment! And it was a blessing to me to even read it.
Jim, good points. I agree that is all in God's hand at the end. The bible supports that view. God, himself, raised up many wicked men to lead his people (the kings)and many others to serve as his instrument to punish them for their wicked doings. Both Obama and Romney praise God with their lips. Romney is no different from Obama when it comes to abortion. Where is the candidate who will speak the full truth about abortion (Romney and many other so-called evangelicals are okay with it in the case of rape or incest). Hello! A life is a life no matter how horrible the circumstances that it came to be!
God is in full control of the election and its results. Good thing that both of our choices (professing believer Obama and apostate Mormon Romney) are equally opposed to the word of God. Serves as a stark reminder that this earth and political system are not our hope.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Thanks. I'm a bit embarassed about that particular post because I was in a semi rage at the time. Someone was inferring that I was faking being a new Christian for some reason. Yes, I was a long time dealer, a heavy weight on a few underground drug boards over the years and have battled many addictions. To see me, one would never guess that I sold, it even did any kinds of drugs. I'm still on Suboxone but plan to be done with that within the next couple of months.
Anyway, all of that is behind me for good. That part of my life is done, I'm happy to say.
Christ, councilling, Suboxone, and a whole lot of willpower did the trick!
I was reading some of your posts and see you were a drug dealer (forgive me if I misread), wondered if you had listened to these sermons? Rev Martin's is a blessing!

NO! Read John 5: 24. Not IF 'really' born-again. The following links might be helpful.
“The ‘believer’ who loses his faith never really had it—or at least it wasn’t in Jesus.†http://gregscouch.homestead.com/files/eternalsecurity.htm
how on earth could Rom be considered prolife? Ryn maybe but Rom?
he appointed leftist judges in mass
romcare included paying abortionists overtly to perform any and all types of abortions.
he sent advisors to help Ob's advisors write obcare
truth of Rom kept from rep voters.
1994, Bay Windows: New England's Largest Gay and Lesbian Newspaper, headline, "Romney: I'll be better than Ted for gay rights" --- "There's something to be said for having a Republican who supports civil rights in this broader context, including sexual orientation."
2002 Planned Parenthood Survey, "Do you support the substance of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v Wade?" -- yes
Rom's press spokesman regarding presd'l campaign having to go more conservate, "Everything changes. It's almost like an Etch-A-Sketch."
Aside from this particular topic, can someone who is born again, loves Christ, and tries to live their life according to the Bible really lose their salvation? Can they really make some terrible mistake along the way and get rejected? I know that David murdered a woman's husband but I think was forgiven. The other area of concern is grieving the Holy Spirit, which us doing what? Other than that, if I can lose my salvation, being far from perfect each day, how would a person know that it's been retracted? Now I feel like I'm walking on egg shells and if this is the case, how can anyone really be certain of where they will end up?
