Rick Warren's 'The Purpose Driven Life' Celebrates 10 Years

After 10 unprecedented years as the best-selling non-fiction hardback in history, Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For? is being re-tooled and re-released by Zondervan.

“There is an entire generation who was too young to read The Purpose Driven Life 10 years ago but are now asking the critical question of , ‘What on earth am I here for?’” said Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif. “This anniversary edition represents a new approach for a new generation incorporating a new understanding of barriers that keep people from finding their purpose, based on thousands of readers’ letters I have received.”

The Purpose Driven Life: What On Earth Am I Here For? 10th anniversary edition will feature two additional chapters addressing the issues of “The Envy Trap—I must be like you to be happy” and “The People-Pleaser Trap—I must be liked by you to be ...

The clip you posted goes along with the pile of evidence of Rick Warren being imho one of the foremost false teachers in America who is indeed out to change the church into something it was never intended to be, but by itself, without a knowledge of the background of Rick Warren people won't pick this up.

As to the video you put up sometime ago you must have put it under a different moniker or something because when I checke you only have 3 post.

Mind reposting your link?

good point, Mike. a non-Christian leader wants the globalist to come in and establish churches, which long-term are meant to be launching points for UN programs......doesn't sound quite right, does it? I'll look into that book, I have a feeling that it is a timely reminder of how efforts can be made to divide a people by whatever means possible. Race-baiting is not a worthy tool. Good day!

You'd never know the professorial looking Paul Kagame was not a very nice guy. If you want a good read, "God Sleeps in Rwanda" by Joseph Sebarenzi.

Another comment of yours I agree with Frank, Rick Warren’s Purpose-Driven Life: A Seriously Flawed View of God leads some people to become A Purpose Driven Refugee.

“Movie stars and political leaders aren't the only ones turning to Rick Warren for spiritual guidance,” said Time magazine of the book. “Millions of people—from NFL and LPGA players to corporate executives to high school students to prison inmates—meet regularly to discuss The Purpose Driven Life.”

Well, to me the above speaks volumes regarding RWs ministry. He seeks to be all things to all people.
I consider Rick Warren to be a heretic and a false prophet, so it doesn't surprise me that his popularity is probably more than any professing Christian in history.

I remember coming back from Europe around the time Rick's book became popular and I was searching for a good church, I noticed his purpose driven book was formally and corporately studied in every church I visited. I simply thought, how can this be? Why would anyone follow the teachings of this fellow to such an extent. And, I was right.
