A new Gallup survey, touted as the largest of its kind, estimates that 3.4 percent of American adults identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.
The findings, released Thursday, were based on interviews with more than 121,000 people. Gallup said it is the largest study ever aimed at calculating the nation's LGBT population.
The report's lead author, demographer Gary Gates of the UCLA School of Law's Williams Institute, said he hoped the findings would help puncture some stereotypes about gays and lesbians while illustrating the diversity of their community.
"Contemporary media often think of LGBT people as disproportionately white, male, urban and pretty wealthy," he said. "But this data reveal that relative to the general population, the LGBT population has a larger proportion of nonwhite people and clearly is not overly wealthy."...

I agree with you, that is why we need the Lord to conquer our battles! But, these rulers and powers you are speaking of do work through mankind; those that belong to Satan. So, we have the rulers and powers standing before us so to speak. When I confront those in front of me that are doing Satan's bidding, then I am in effect confronting the rulers and powers in high places. Would you agree?

By the way the media and politics portray them you'd think over 50% of Americans were gay. Or any other secular country for that matter. Totally disproportionate media and law biased against the majority opinion.

When I was first saved, I was a full blown Charismatic. I was in deep and had pretty much every gift. I came to realize that not everything was as it seemed. As far as I can tell, tongues are suppose to be a foreign language, not gibberish based upon a single verse where it says that we don't know how to pray, so the Holy Spirit gives utterance (or something similar). Even if it were real tongues, as far as I can tell, there are suppose to be rules where a couple of people speak and then there are interpretations...not hundreds of people going off at once, scaring the new people out of the building.
Aside from everyone speaking in tongues, everyone was a prophet, everyone had a direct pipeline to God, everything negative was a demon, everyone had healing powers, etc. Why not take those healing powers into the hospitals...why are the healings never of a visible, verifiable nature? Yes, God can and does heal, but whenever you tell him to? Everyone seemed to be living and acting according to how they felt and believed whatever popped into their heads as opposed to clear teachings. Seems to me that they added to the Bible, which we are warned against, without actually putting it down on paper. No thanks.

What is this? First of all, that's quite the blanket statement you are making using one lone verse. I know a certain false religion that creates entire doctrines around single, out of context, passages of scripture. To me, if one believes in Christ and is truly saved, they will love Christ. Then, if they love Christ, they will pick up their crosses and follow him. They will follow His commandments, teachings, examples, and rules for Christian living. Even Satan and his angles simply believe.
I don't claim to be an expert on anything. I like to give my opinions and more often than not, someone corrects me. If I thought I knew everything, it would be apparent in combative type replies.
What is a CP demon? Christian Pride? I'm very honest with myself when it comes to personal flaws and pride is not one of them. I spent my entire childhood being kicked around between family members, foster homes, and juvi. Because I was always the new kid in small schools, I was endlessly terrorized, picked on and beat up. Throughout childhood, I was emotionally and physically abused in every imaginable way by almost every imaginable person, the effects of which live on today. I can assure you that pride is not one of my flaws.

John, you are quite correct! When I was first saved, I went through the Charismatic movement, but quickly moved away from it. They worship their faith and not the faith giver; they think they can order the God of the entire universe around as if He is a genie in a bottle and if they can do their mystical spiritual endeavors, they can unlock Him and His power so to speak. And, no they can't caste out demons. It is the same as saying the RCC has a priest that does exorcisms.

The best thing for you to do is to observe very carefully the claims made by your "church", write them down, and see the results. When people have "demons" cast out of them, observe the "difference" in their life. Have they changed?
Everything in church is designed by God for edification. See if the tripe you call preaching actually has any benefit in anyone's life, and check everything with scripture.
Also, check to see what your friends lives are like after the meeting. Are they all spiritual during the "worship session", with their arms lifted aloft and a glazed look in their eye, as they repeat, "Jesus I love you, Jesus I love you.", and then when they get home, they flop out and can't wait for the next "high", without which they have no life whatsoever.
As for discerning of spirits, I don't believe you have that gift, the evidence is overwhelmingly against it.
If you are a Christian, listen out for the voice of God, who will tell you what to do.

Period. Get your facts straight before you try to plant anymore bad seeds within the body because you're not fooling anybody. If ri is rode island I live in mass but go to new life worship center in smithfield. They have all the gifts of the spirit in full operation and can lay hands in you and the two people who seem to be in cahoots with you. You might have the demons of pride and dissenting in or around you and they can lay hands on you to get rid of them if you truly want them gone. Your trying to deceive the young Christians here and elsewhere probably and you act like you know everything. You might have a cp demon too but that ones
