New Threats to Riot if Obama Loses Election

Despite the issue receiving national media attention, Obama supporters continue to threaten to riot if Mitt Romney wins the presidential election, raising the prospect of civil unrest if Obama fails to secure a second term.

Checking Twitter feeds this morning, we discovered that threats to riot on behalf of Obama supporters are still flooding in, with the users seemingly unaware of the fact that the media has now picked up on the buzz.

We checked the Twitter accounts and virtually all of them are owned by people who have made hundreds or thousands of previous tweets, proving they are genuine accounts and not fakes.

Examples of what people are saying include the following; ...

Ephesians 6

12 This is not a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with rulers, authorities, the powers who govern this world of darkness, and spiritual forces that control evil in the heavenly world.

Nonsense; it was about slavery, not rapacious Northern capitalists or anything else. The North, & Britain, already had access to Southern cotton, & profited mightily from it. Almost every national controversy in the decades preceding the War was colored by the slavery issue, esp. Statehood.

What Lost Cause apologists fail to note is that Lincoln, being President-Elect, hadn't even done anything before the South seceded; therefore, they had no legal or moral basis whatever. It was simple *fear* of what Lincoln *might* do, based upon Democratic racist propaganda & Harper's Ferry, that prompted Secession. There was also the issue of Fugitive Slave Law enforcement, but this also preceded Lincoln's Presidency.

Plus, American chattel slavery was unbiblical, as even Puritans Richard Baxter & Samuel Sewall recognized in the 1600s. If this form of slavery (as opposed to other forms) was Constitutional, then the Constitution was wrong.

The war was about ill-gotten gains, but not on the South's account. Let me tweak your imagination as to why the War Between the States was fought: "so that Northern Industrialists could obtain the South's abundant natural resources for pennies on the dollar." There's your ill-gotten gain for you! That's exactly what the North got during Reconstruction.
If you dig into the history of it you'll realize that slavery was only a "scapegoat" reason for starting that illegal war that cost almost 700,000 lives. In the words of President Jefferson Davis: "All we wanted was to be let alone."

Thanks Neil, I was going to ask if this was a first in the western "civilised" nations, at least in recent years. Maybe this is the way it will go, now that Satan realises he must have a final fling before the end, stirring up anger and hatred and destruction in otherwise quite placid people.

Do I have to examine every hair of a skunk to recognize that it's a skunk? The whole "birther" thing may be true, but it's "water under the bridge" now & distracts from the greater issues. If the man's public words & deeds aren't enough by now to convince a person what he is about, then nothing is.

Just trying to make it through life might work, if the efforts of politicians didn't get in the way. Apathy about politics brings to the apathetic what they don't want, which is more difficulty in making it through life. There is no place to hide, unfortunately.

The real question here is whether Jim Lincoln is going to riot or not? Just kidding Jim. Though I know you would be there in spirit. 😱

Wow; how utterly ghetto. I'm black, but that certainly does not mean that I condone this. I'm also Christian, which supersedes any allegiance to race and/or culture. I didn't vote for Obama in 2008 and won't be voting for him in 2012 either, praise God!
Good comment Lady Virtue. There is a lot of wisdom imbedded in the things you said. Yes, our relationship to Christ does in fact supercede any and all relationships including that of family, friends, race, nationality, etc.

"Highly respected economist and philosopherThomas Sowell also voiced his concerns that race riots could ensue if Obama is not re-elected"

My goodness that doesn't mean that Obama's election had something to do with race did it?

And I thought it was all about politics!!

More claptrap. Threats if one or the other wins/loses are designed to spread fear, which both sides attempt. Vote in spite of nonsensical chatter. Decide what kind of country you want, or don't want, and add your vote to start moving it in the direction seen best. Ignore the cynics who say your vote doesn't count. If it didn't, less time would be spent recounting.

How about 1860? A whole section of the country seceded for no other reason than because a man they didn't like won the election.

And for similar reasons: they felt their ill-gotten gains were going to be taken away.

You're right. There is always a handful of extremists, haters, etc within any party, group, etc and they don't necessarily speak for the whole.

Tom Head, who also oversees emergency planning in Lubbock County, promised to get "in front of their personnel carriers," CNN reported. Head claimed the president and his "minions" have filed executive orders allowing the takeover.

"Regardless of whether the Republicans take over the Senate, which I hope they do, he is going to make the United States Congress and he's going to make the Constitution irrelevant. He's got his czars in place that don't answer to anybody," Head said.

He suggested the president's re-election would spark a violent response from the public.

"We are talking civil unrest, civil disobedience, possibly, possibly civil war ... I'm not talking just riots here and there. I'm talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms, get rid of the dictator,"

I hope everyone reads on to the full story so you can see the trash talking ghetto speak tweets. I'm always bothered by those who cry racism, yet those who cry out are the very ones who are keeping the racial divide wide open and bleeding.
