Biden vs. Ryan VP Debate to Present Two Different Catholic Worldviews
Thursday's vice presidential debate between Vice President Joe Biden and Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan at Centre College in Danville, Ky., will focus on domestic and foreign policy issues, while also pitting one self-professed Catholic against another.

The vice presidential debate follows last week's first presidential debate that was focused on the economy, where most critics agreed that GOP candidate Mitt Romney held the edge over President Barack Obama. Many have suggested that this is now Biden's opportunity to push the Obama campaign back on track, and even Ryan has said he expects Biden to launch a fierce attack against him.

"Because they had such a bad debate, Joe Biden is just going to come flying at us," the congressman said, adding that he expects the VP to go after him "like a cannon ball." ...

Matt 12:32 "Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. 33 "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. 34 "You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. 35 "The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil. 36 "But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. 37 "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

Angela want to make sure you don't run into the faux "Phoebe" or Tony Cisneros for that matter, which you might if you went to 1st Baptist in Hammond, try Christian Fellowship Church. instead.

Oh, and point out the subject of the thread, A Catholic is a Catholic is a Catholic? not the best definition since it supports an erroneous position at the end of the article.

"This is the whole comment I made: That was meant for Angela, she interjected in a conversation I was having a while back. Mum said I'm not allowed to respond to personal questions on the internet. And no talking to men incase we get too familiar.
Look forward to your silence. - Phoebe"

In order to hopefully make a muddy situation more clear, please accept my apology for being sharp with Phoebe. Several months back I encountered someone named Phoebe at this website and I believe we clashed. At the time I thought that Phoebe was a woman, but was informed he was a man. At this point, I don't know who Phoebe is or if it is the same person as before. Perhaps a bit more identification when commenting might clear things up? Anyway, sorry for my sharpness, but I still don't know who Phoebe is and if she/he is a child or adult.

Interesting to watch the two. Old line politician trying to intimidate the younger guy. Trying, with his goofy out of place smiling, to imply Ryan didn't know what he was talking about. (A common tactic if you can't argue ideas) Acting out the verbal bully role with his constant interruptions. But if showmanship, rather than substance is what folks want, they probably see Biden winning the debate. As for me, I was happy to see the younger Ryan keep the more mature, cooler head. Better for the country, too.

It's still a morality in their eyes, just a bad one from the Biblical perspective. Morality, like "good," is a relative term, until placed in context. Their ethical ground is the autonomy & convenience of the individual, even at the expense of others (like a child in utero), doing what is "right in their own eyes," as opposed to obedience to God's revealed will.

They also consider it moral for "needy" people, or even corporations, to get help at taxpayers' expense.

Comparing this debate to the past debate, it appears Biden should have been the POTUS these past four years.

It just goes to show how handlers can affect the outcome.

Using the bible to make it seem as if you care, when in fact all you care about are your rights, is sinful." Phoebe.

You can accuse me of whatever you like, but you need witnesses, one is the Word of God and the other is The Spirit. You come with neither. And then behave as if you are wronged.
Make sure you don't interject on any opinions posted on this site by men.

Funny, I would have thought if you didn't want to get familiar with men you'd want to talk to the women!

Dear Phoebe, I don't know what you are "getting at"... What exactly is the "greatest show on earth"? My comments are the same and there is no conflicting message. Why don't you click on my website link and read posts from 2005 when I first began posting them on blogs? And also, please know that I am a married woman who does not appreciate being singled out by men. So, if you want to argue, I am not available.
Do you think that you can go on the web saying "Repent America or Gods judgements will come down on your head
but if you repent He will not bring judgement" and then carry on business as usual? Do you have no fear of God?

Angela, you said: "Folks, I really have to interject some thoughts here... First of all, Obama isn't destroying America - I lay his ideology squarely at the feet of the apostate churches and the one he belonged to for perhaps 20 years (?). The rest of the destruction stems from the lukewarm churches who allowed God to removed or disregarded by our civil institutions and government. Plus, we have had an entire generation of Americans aborted for the sake of convenience while Sodom parades through out streets and street preachers are spit upon and shunned by "respectable" church goers. Sorry, folks, but I think we are under God's judgment and the only solution is national repentance and covenanting."

Angela you must be forgetting your other posts. You actually answered some of my questions a little further on in the discussion.

Obviously you don't believe what you say yourself when you expect American's to be still placing hope in the greatest show on earth because if God is bringing judgement on America for her sins and the only way forward is National repentance - well I'd be tearing my garments.

Hey Phoebe! Sorry, I didn't see your question earlier. No, the Holy Spirit did not reveal to me that if America repents He will turn back the judgments, but we do have the Biblical examples of Jonah going to Ninevah, various accounts of Israel repenting and the Lord having mercy upon the people.
It's a fact. The OT is full of examples of God's judgment falling upon whole cities, even nations, on account of sin. Usually he would forewarn so as to give people a chance to repent. But often it was as a result of the judgment that folks got their act together and returned unto the Lord.

I think it an impossibility for the whole of the USA to repent of sin, as I'm sure you do. But if the church was to repent wholesale, I think we would see a massive difference.
