Congressman calls evolution lie from 'pit of hell'
Georgia Rep. Paul Broun said in videotaped remarks that evolution, embryology and the Big Bang theory are "lies straight from the pit of hell" meant to convince people that they do not need a savior.
The Republican lawmaker made those comments during a speech Sept. 27 at a sportsman's banquet at Liberty Baptist Church in Hartwell. Broun, a medical doctor, is running for re-election in November unopposed by Democrats.
"God's word is true," Broun said, according to a video posted on the church's website. "I've come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell. And it's lies to try to keep me and all the folks who are taught that from understanding that they need a savior."...
Certainly America needs more law makers like this man that has convictions about Biblical truth and is not afraid to stand for it! All America needs now are Americans that have convictions about placing men like this in office and making their way to the voting booth on Nov 6!!
Ditto! Not to mention how far the Godless will go to deceive the school children. The text books are filled with outrageous lies as well as theories which have since been proven false, yet to date, these falsehoods have never been retracted or corrected.
Many Christians accept that evolution can fit alongside the Creation story but it can't. Many Christians think it's not a big deal to believe evolution as opposed to the creation story. I think this is dangerous because if we are not to believe God means what He says, beginning on page one, then what else in His word are we not to believe?
How shocking! A congressman who actually believes in God's word. I wish they would stop teaching the fairytale of evolution in schools and just teach science.
