Christian students were specifically targeted by Islamists in what some say was a retaliatory attack in northeast Nigeria. The massacre killed up to 30 students at Federal Polytechnic Collage in the city of Mubi in remote Adamawa State.
Emily Fuentes with Open Doors USA describes the attack. "Certain students were called out and attacked. But Open Doors sources in the area have notified us that the people who were attacking were allegedly members of Boko Haram and were allegedly separating Christians from Muslims students; [they] attacked the Christians students there."
This is a new for Boko Haram. "Up until now," says Fuentes, "Christians were either attacked in their churches, their homes, and maybe their places of business. So this is different to have Christians attacked at university, at the school that they're going to."...
Hi Ani, you are confusing conflict for my genuine need to understand, and sometimes be set straight, on some matters. Being a new Christian, I do have a lot of Bible knowledge but some of it is corrupt since it has recently moved from my head and into my heart.
Here's the thing with this forum...since we cannot create individual discussion threads, I need to take every opportunity that I can, regardless of the topic, to make sure that my head is screwed on straight so that I never pass along faulty information.
I hope you see a bit differently now and please don't assume that I don't pray for who I feel led to or try in earnest to fulfill my Christ expected duties, attitudes, etc on a daily basis. I'm very far from perfect but I'm trying hard.
By the way, John seems like a kool Kat and I have no particular issue with him.

There are several interesting points you make, but first I am saying that if you are Nigerian and are upset by what is going on there, I am sorry if you are distressed by the way in which we seemingly are ignoring their plight.
1. "you are all arguing..." All? It is only myself, to which Christopher responded. So you exaggerate. To what end?
2. The article speaks of persecutors; what is wrong with discussing the end of the persecutors?
3. What meaneth this? "...you should be praying for the salvation and protection of the citizens of Nigeria." Am I to be a global prayer warrior? Do you really think my prayers are to be effective in Nigeria? Do you have the right to tell me what I should be praying for? I thought we were to pray in the Spirit and be led by the Spirit.
4. "...people are dying in front of us." Yes there are people dying every day and entering eternity - where.com?

If I was burning in flames, my physical reactions would be exactly how I described them. I'm not getting how I've strayed from biblical doctrine here. Please explain. Thanks
Good morning Christopher
It is not an easy thing to be descriptive about the sufferings of hell-fire, which is why I never attempt it, the quoting of scripture is sufficient for me. But I sure can't imagine someone who is "burning, screaming, and thrashing about non stop because of the unimaginable pain" making a rational and well thought out plea to Father Abraham.

1. Correct, Christopher.
2. I don't know where you got this teaching from, but it is not biblical to use phrases like "burning, screaming, and thrashing about non stop because of the unimaginable pain".
3. What I don't get is why Presby has not bothered to respond to your desire that mankind would "take their blinds off and just wake up from their delusion". But then, "friendly fire" is a problem in armed conflict also.
