Democrats Affirm Everything God Hates, Says John MacArthur

America is on the path toward destruction as the country is obsessed with sex, murdering the unborn and approving of sinful behavior such as homosexuality, said evangelical pastor John MacArthur.

"I don't know how much time America has left," he said in a poignant message preached last month at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, Calif. "We're on a course described here (in Scripture) as God casting us out."

MacArthur warned that the United States is "living in the outpouring of the wrath of God." And that wrath is specifically the wrath of God abandoning the nation. When God abandons a nation, He gives the people over to the consequences of their behavior, the pastor noted. That society first becomes pornographic and obsessed with sex, and then it sees "degrading" passions and diseases such as homosexuality and HIV/AIDS. And lastly, the people become haters of God, MacArthur listed in ...

Wall St. contribs. to 2008 Obama campaign:
Goldman Sachs $1,013,091
JPMorgan Chase $808,799
Citigroup Inc $736,771
Morgan Stanley $512,232

So unless there was no legal basis to prosecute, maybe there was a quid pro quo:

"To the dismay of many of Obama's supporters, nearly four years after the disaster, there has not been a single criminal charge filed by the federal government against any top executive of the elite financial institutions."

Thanks for calling attention to this, notwithstanding your alleged policy of never criticizing a sitting President.

UPS, when it comes to politicians The Record of Republican Corruption is far worse than that of the Democrats? Like rich Democrats more? I would say at least Warren Buffett had a good idea in the Buffett Rule. If memory serves this means the ultra wealthy wouldn't pay any more tax than they did under Ronnie Reagan.

As far as bankers go, Neil, yes they are supporting Romney -- one of their own. Mitt wants to make sure the Bankers have no more regulation as when they soaking the rest of the Americans. Bankers did like Obama there was some wondering about why Why Can't Obama Bring Wall Street to Justice?

He and Biden have again made some good sounds about reining in grasping bankers, which would still be another reason that bankers would turn to Romney, and Romney nixing the idea of his own running mate, Paul Ryan: ‚ÄėI Agree‚Äô We Need To Reinstate Glass-Steagall would make the bankers even love Mitt more.

Contrary to what delusional populists want to believe, many ‚Äúnotorious‚ÄĚ Wall St. firms supported Obama in 2008. Now that they've shifted their support to Romney this time, there may well be reason to worry: is their judgement still as bad?

While I deny that corporations are greedy, or at least any more greedy than laymen who lust after Other People's [Tax] Money, I allow that they can be very stupid.

Face it Jim, you don't like rich Republicans. Rich Democrats on the other hand...

In the Senate, that august body of oddities, who cannot seem to come up with a budget, the millionaire Democrats outnumber the millionaire Republicans by 36 to 30.

Too many assumptions. The rich are not necessarily rich just because they are greedy, unless you want to say that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Job, Joseph of Arimethia, etc. were only rich because they were greedy. The assumption is false. If you read the book the millionaire next door you will discover that most millionaires rose to that status through hard work and financial risk. Second to assume that all republicans are corrupt is a broad generalization. Bill Moyer is NOT fair and balanced. Having wealth is NOT a sin.

Gentlemen, how surprising it is that greed is so honored by the Republicans and all too often by the shorn sheep in evangelical churches. All the attention to verse 9 but not to verse 10? 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.

The rich get richer in part because they are bunch of greedy people and these people are to be copied?

Argumentum ad Hominim against Bill Moyer?

Bill Moyer wrote:
...I am an equal opportunity muckraker. Anyone who saw the documentary my team and I produced on the illegal fund-raising for Bill Clinton's re-election knows I am no fan of the Democratic money-machine that helped tear away the party from whatever roots it had in the struggles of working people. But today the Republicans own the government lock, stock, and barrel. And they have turned their self-proclaimed revolution into a cash cow.

Let us see the community reinvestment act hoisted upon the banks by the democrats was the major cause of the sub-prime toxic loan crises that led to the huge financial malaise at the end of the Bush administration. BUsh and Greenspan warned of the impending problem but constantly rebutted by democrats Dodd, Franke, Obama, and Reid.

http://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/2008/10/20081009-10.html

Who were the top recepients of lobby money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, why that would be democrats Dodd, Kerry, Obama and Clinton. In fact Fannie and Freddie are still asking for government money and they are still paying huge bonuses to their CEO with TARP money, they knew that the president who from 2005-2008 received the most contributions from them would not rip them as the White House did other companies who got bailout money and paid bonuses

Jim, a shame you don't care much for details.

1. The link was written by Moyers, a liberal Democrat, press secretary to Lyndon Johnson, PBS journalisst.
2. The subtitle is "Let's Save Our Democracy by Getting Money Out of Politics"
2a. This is not a democracy, but perhaps we shouldn't expect a Democrat to know that.
2b. It was just announced that Obama's campaign chest is close to a billion dollars, well more than Romney's. (Those corporate cronies O bought with bailout money?) Bill isn't complaining now. Of course, Bush isn't president, either.

Just keep claiming to being an independent, Jim. We need the laughs.

Bill Moyers wrote:
...[Back in 2006] With pro-corporate officials running both the executive and legislative branches, lobbying that was once reactive has sallied forth to buy huge chunks of public policy. One example: In 2004 the computer maker Hewlett-Packard sought Republican-backed legislation that would enable it to bring back to the United States, at a dramatically lowered tax rate, as much as $14.5 billion in profits from foreign subsidiaries. The company nearly doubled its budget for contract lobbyists and took on an elite lobbying firm as its Washington arm. Presto! The legislation passed. The company's director of government affairs was quite candid: "We're trying to take advantage of the fact that Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House."

Hello! Now you might just be correct. His continual bashing of the ungodly republicans (and they certainly are) and his continual mitigation of those who "outwardly" are like Sodom and who unashamedly support murdering little children in the womb, might just have had an effect on my subconscious.

Now if someone in politics would just address the issue of Evangelical feminism, then I would be a happy camper. If someone in the church addressed that issue, I might start attending church again

Well, then what if brother MacArthur had said, "The Republican party has made the sins of I Corinthians 6:10 their agenda, what God condemns they affirm and what God punishes they exalt. He went further to suggest that voters affiliated with the Republican party rethink their party identification. Could we get an AMEN from Jim on that statement?
