Harold Camping's Controversial Teachings Back on the Air
Family Radio has begun re-airing controversial teachings of Harold Camping to the surprise of a former Camping follower.
Trevor Hammack, pastor of Victory Baptist Church in Texas, announced "Harold Camping is Back" on his radio program Sunday. Hammack, who was a devoted follower of Camping in the 1990s, found that his former Bible teacher's messages on "the end of the church age" were being re-aired.
"You've got to be kidding me," Hammack said. "Family Radio, you already realized the absolute mess you made around the world by these crazy [end of the world] predictions and now you're going to go back to Harold Camping's teaching from 2001 where he told everyone the church age was over and everyone should flee the church and you're going to re-air that?"...
But there arose false prophets also among the people, as among you also there shall be false teachers, who shall privily bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction 2Peter2:1
C000, I wouldn't be that easy on false teachers, q.v., False Prophets, False Teachers, and Real Trouble: The Case of Harold Camping. Personally, I thought that Camping rejected his messages, but propaganda mouth-piece Family Radio is re-airing this satanic nonsense? I rather doubt they would do it without Camping's approval?
There is Biblical Intolerance to such men who have control over Family Radio. Part the summary for the aforementioned sermon,
Gil Rugh said or, wrote: He [the Apostle John] gives a very serious warning about the danger of being deceived when false teachers are tolerated. He makes clear there are two realms of accountability before God. One, false teachers will be held accountable for what they have taught, and there are no excuses before God. And two, believers are without excuse when they are deceived by false teachers and their teaching they have exposed themselves to. Why? Because both have the Truth given to them.
I should add that when I said "Satanically inspired", in fairness, I don't believe that he was ever intentionally malicious, but rather seriously ignorant and deceived. Not unlike the Hinn's, Crouches, and Robertsons, etc, of the world.
This man's satanically inspired rants are responsible for several suicides and many bankruptcies. The irrisponsibility that anything like this is being reaired is really ridiculous. This Guy was just one of a long line who has made a joke out of the faith to unbelievers and weak Christians.
