Unitarian faith growing stronger in Middle TN

De Lee is one of a growing number of local Unitarian Universalists, a faith that’s found growing appeal in recent years. From 2000 to 2010, the denomination grew by 15.8 percent in Middle Tennessee and by 20.8 percent statewide, according to the Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies.

While they remain rare in Tennessee — with about 3,000 adherents statewide — Unitarian Universalists believe their open-minded faith has a bright future as an alternative to more exclusive brands of religion.

They might be right, said Diana Butler Bass, author of “Christianity After Religion: The End of Church and the Birth of a New Spiritual Awakening.”

Bass, who has studied thriving progressive churches, said Unitarian Universalists can fill a niche in conservative religious cultures such as the Bible Belt. ...

Hmmmmm?
You might have something there.

I lived in Tennessee, I was saved in Tennessee, and my heart breaks of the increasing apostasy I saw and continue to see there and through the rest of the U.S.

John. Purgatory, purgatory, purgatory... Blasphamy.. It takes away from Christ atonement. And says Christ work on the cross is not efficient.

John Y., it's not what the Romish Church takes away from Scripture (in fact they add to it, The Apocrypha

Just think about this:

Deuteronomy 12
32 "Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it.---NASB

Popes and Councils have functioned as false prophets. John Y., you really need to read, Is the One True Church Roman Catholic?, this a fairly short pdf file and you'll see that the Romish Church doesn't qualify as a true church.

I agree!

2 Corinthians 6:14. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15. And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16. And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Nothing scriptural in the RCC? You call readings from the Bible, prayers to Jesus, the Lord's Prayer, the affirmation that Jesus is God, the affirmation of the Holy Trinity and the words of Jesus from the Last Supper unscriptural? Believing that all those RCC doctrines are not scriptural is nothing but the lack of comprehension ability. Any normal Evangelical Protestant recognizes that those RCC doctrines are scriptural. Only an Evangelical Protestant who is abnormal and mentally deranged denies that those RCC doctrines are scriptural.
Now I am not saying this to be unkind, as unto the Lord, but if you were of the opinion that my thoughts were spiritual, then I would have to seriously ponder if what I said was according to God's word. So, I can say from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Excellent! There are better tracts available, but at least it's a start. Let me know how you get on, and I also will post a report when I begin tracting again in my local town centre, giving out the word of life to shoppers and hopefully engaging them in convos.

The reason why any cult grows is because they do not know the real Christ Jesus, so they make up their own version.
Like the Roman Catholic outfit and its devout idolatry they worship graven images and reject Scripture. One of their graven images is their version of Christ which they string up around their neck graven by sinners hands.
Message for those who attend the Roman Catholic anathema.
Deut 27:15 Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen
Isaiah 44:9 They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed. 10 Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?

If Jesus is God, and God inspired the writing of scripture, therefore the scriptures are the very words of God, you need to cease being a rebel against God, who says in his word, "Honour all men".
Besides, if all who worship Jesus as God were secret disciples like yourself, how will these "brainless morons" as you call them ever get to hear about the fact of the divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ?
If you are truly converted, you are a debtor to those who need to hear. So climb down off your proudful perch, buy some tracts, and get out among the people, letting them know that Jesus saves by faith alone in Christ alone. And if you reckon you're too shy to face people directly, post your tracts through letter boxes or leave them in waiting rooms, telephone boxes etc.
Get to it.

How do I witness to Unitarian Minister? no doubt is very good advice.

No, John Y., they are usually college professors in the most part, though of course you can find them from all strata of society.

But just like even intelligent Romists they are unwise.

Matthew 11
25 At that time Jesus answered and said, "I praise Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou didst hide these things from the wise and intelligent and didst reveal them to babes.
26 "Yes, Father, for thus it was well-pleasing in Thy sight.---NASB

Roman Catholics foolish in other ways like believing in The Mass - Miracle or Mendacity?

Leaving them in motel rooms, or a note for the cleaners to read certain Bible passages from the ever-present Bibles,(which I always take out of the drawers, so they have to handle it) is something I like to do. And prayer over it that God might lead someone to himself gets the focus off of me.

Only schismatics and skeptics would deny that Roman Catholics worship Jesus in spirit and truth. If Catholics don't have this right, nobody does.
