Ahmadinejad: Israel Has No Historical Roots in the Middle East & Will Be ‘Eliminated’
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad came out with fists flying just two days before his U.N. General Assembly speech on Monday. Rather than disregarding and omitting inflammatory language, the Middle Eastern despot told reporters leading up to the event that Israel has no roots in the region and that the nation will be “eliminated.”
Ahmadinejad wasn’t done there, though. He lambasted Israel‘s proclamation that the nation will potentially attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, The Jewish Daily Forward reports. As he has done in the past, the fiery leader reiterated his claim that Iran’s nuclear ambitions are peaceful in nature and that there is nothing sinister at play....

Do you believe that anyone is giving birth through homosexuality? Homosexuality ceases procreation. Who has said that if you like or believe in doing something ugly, and others do not accept your behavior, that they’re denying your freedom?"
Wow!
It is more than worrisome when our enemies--even our most "kooky" ones, show themselves to be far wiser--at least morally--than we are.
Reminds me of a previous time Ahmadinejad managed to shut-up our homosexual lobby by requesting "names and addresses" as proof of their charge that even Iran has homosexuals among its citizenry.
Is it any wonder God is allowing and even enabling countries like this to become increasingly threatening to us?

My wife & I were recently discussing that. All those plagues were a complete disaster for Egypt. Probably explains why there's no evidence on their monuments – too shameful.

No bloodshed if emerging from exile is by Divine decree? One only has to remember the exodus from Egypt to counter that assumption. The Exodus was not a philosophical construct; it happened. Lots of people actually died.

"The sixth reason is that Israel is a roadblock to terrorism."
Supporting Israel as we have done since Operation Nickel Glass has accomplished nothing but 1) provide an alternative patriotism for Jews, neocon Catholics, & Dispies; 2) make oil more expensive; 3) kill lots of people.
Any pragmatist (such a popular philosophy these days) should be able to figure out what a poor bargain this has all been. The whole reason for the terrorism Imhofe wants a roadblock for has been our support for Israel & military presence in Saudi. The more neutral status quo ante 1973 was better.
Of course Ahmadinejad is a racist nutjob, but I'm sure the resourceful Israelis can take care of themselves w/o our help as before, esp. if they have nukes on hand.

Attending a panel on Israel’s future borders at the President’s conference last month in Jerusalem, Yousef loudly applauded the following statement from one of the panelists: “The issue is not whether the world can accept the Jews’ right to this land. The issue is whether Jews will accept their right to this land.” Regarding sovereignty, Yousef maintains an unequivocal party line: “All I can say is that the Israeli historic right to this land is obvious and clear to any person who can read.”

"Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed. Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee."
