Chick-fil-A agrees to stop funding antigay groups, Chicago alderman says
Chick-fil-A, the fast-food chain that sparked a firestorm earlier this year after its president made public comments against same-sex marriage, has agreed to stop funding antigay groups, a Chicago alderman says.
Joe Moreno, the alderman whose opposition of a proposed Chick-fil-A on Chicago's north side helped fuel the controversy, told the Chicago Tribune the company has pledged to include a statement of respect for all sexual orientations in a memo to staffers, and has promised that the WinShape Foundations, its not-for-profit arm, would no longer contribute money to groups that oppose gay marriage. Moreno said he will recommend that Chick-fil-A's construction plans be approved.

Love thy neighbor does the company you work for call out the sin of all its customers? I think from the restaurant part of their business it really is best to just sell chicken. The win shape foundation should however stand their ground and call sin what it is, which they do in fact do.

Respect for another human being is one thing and should be maintained whenever possible. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
BUT If you truly "love thy neighbour" then you will tell them that sin leads to hell. EG Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: 25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
Winshape has come out and clearly stated that none of their giving has changed. Seems this was a ploy by the left to make all this nonsense look like they won some great victory.
Seems to me the alderman is trying to take credit for a "policy change" that never took place. WinShape last gave to Focus on the Family back in 2010 ($1000) and has never given to the National Organization for Marriage.
1 kings chapter 13. Seems like a familiar story. It's so odd that this is happening too, last night my youth pastor was preaching on how much some Christian brothers and sisters can be bought just to deny their faith. It's so sad. And the sad part is that in the story in 1 kings, the young prophet which stood up for righteousness succumbed to the pull of another prophet that wasn't right with God and disobeyed God. He then was killed by a lion soon afterwards. Sad.
