Rick Warren Emboldens Christians, Says Not to Apologize for Voting in Line With the Bible

Just two months ahead of the November presidential election, Pastor Rick Warren said Sunday that Christians should gain courage and not apologize for voting in accordance with their worldview.

He warned that there are four anti-Christian worldviews: materialism, hedonism, individualism and collectivism/socialism.

"People who don't know God make government god," Warren said of socialism. "The highest thing they can think of to make the world a better place is not the church, it's not God, it's government."

"What I've discovered is this: politics is the religion of people who don't know God," he said to applause. "They treat it as everything. Again, there's nothing wrong with politics; it's just not the savior." ...

A true independent would not leave out the democrat scandals

http://www.fireandreamitchell.com/democrat-scandals-you-wouldnt-hear-from-the-liberal-mainstream-media/

From the article

"Both political parties released vastly different platforms. The GOP platform supports the sanctity of human life and traditional marriage and includes stronger anti-pornography language. Democrats, meanwhile, support "a woman's right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including a safe and legal abortion," and, for the first time ever, same-sex marriage in their platform."

I appreciate your comment, as this 'dialogue with them' seems to be at the root of how many are led away from the Truth of the Gospel into accepting (quote) other expressions of Christianity.

So, if you don't mind let me do Mr. Warren one better. We should unashamedly expose him, his false teachings, his actions that betray Biblical Christianity and clean out our church and home libraries of his books and refuse to let him speak in our churches.
I absolutely agree with you. Why anyone would care what a heretic says, except to expose them, is beyond me. I always say we can learn about them, but never from them. We can debate them, but never dialogue with them, etc.

C'mon Jim, both parties support thievery, that's what politicians do. (ie, taxes, Obamacare, war against "terrorism," airport security stealing liberty, etc.) But I think one of the parties clearly supports what in the Bible is called abomination.

As believers there are areas of our lives the Bible does not give us specific instructions to do or not do. Individually we have the responsibility to decide whether to do something, use something or in some way associate with certain things. What should we consider so as to make the most God-pleasing choices? The instruction in these verses challenge us to examine how are choice might influence or impact others. Will it edify them or be a stumbling block to them? Simply - what is the best for others? Such should heavily influence our decisions in areas that we are not specifically told to do or not do in God's Word.

1 Corinthians 6
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.---NASB

While the Democrats certainly fall under that first verse, the pocket-lining Republicans fall under the second, The Record of Republican Corruption.

"People who don't know God make government god," Warren said of socialism. "The highest thing they can think of to make the world a better place is not the church, it's not God, it's government."

Hmmm Now who is the current socialist in the race???

I guess Warren wants a new president for the next four years.

Being an independant he won't get what he votes for.

But in these unusual times who knows maybe the next president will be (drum roll) Roseanne Barr of the Peace and Freedom Party?

Or Robert Burck, Street Performer, he is independent, better known as the Naked Cowboy...

Or even Donald Duck of the Feathers and Quack party?

You never can tell in these increasingly anarchic modern times!!!

Perhaps we here on the comments board should vote for John UK, Painter and Street Preacher, and bring the colonies back under english rule.
