Needled by Mitt Romney and other Republicans, Democrats hurriedly rewrote their convention platform Wednesday to add a mention of God and declare Jerusalem the capital of Israel after President Barack Obama intervened to order the changes.
The embarrassing reversal was compounded by chaos and uncertainty on the convention floor, requiring three votes before a ruling that the amendments had been approved. Many in the audience booed the decision.
The episode exposed tensions on Israel within the party, put Democrats on the defensive and created a public relations spectacle as Obama arrived in the convention city to claim his party's nomination for a second term....
well, first when deciding which of the three candidates to vote for is to discern the truth.....not talking points are words of persuasion, but what has actually been done, voted for, etc. until that happens, its just a game.

The point is if you don't vote, then you should not complain about the results as you chose to have no say in it. If we had to vote for the perfect candidate, then no one should go to the polls. We have to ascertain which party, when voted into power, stands up more for those values we hold dear. (As a side comment, wiki leaks confirmed wmd, he used them against his own people, don't think any value in that discussion) If Gov. Romney did not pay his taxes the IRS would be knocking at his door. This is not a religious exercise per se, it is a constitutional one. As Edmund Burke once wisely said, "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." If in your congregation they decided to put up for a vote the use of the KJV or the NASB and you decided to NOT vote, does it make sense then that people would say your silence was your vote and you have no right to complain that the NASB is now the official version of your church. The Old Testament is full of examples of godly kings and leaders who led the people in righteousness.
As I see it, the Almighty God has ruled in his creation from eternity past without ceasing and without ending. I don't recall seeing anywhere in the Bible that God gave Satan permission to rule.
Now you might think that because Satan "tempted" our Lord God, that what he was claiming was true. But he "tempted" Eve with an untruth also. As one has said already, he is the father of lies, and his strategy most subtle.
Sure, the Lord grants him some liberty, but he is "king" of nowhere. Unless you have some scripture proof that this is the case?
