On the eve of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) at Charlotte's Time Warner Cable Arena, visiting pastor Fernando Cabrera preached a fiery Sunday morning sermon at the conservative First Baptist Church in the heart of downtown.
The Liberty University graduate and New York City minister decried President Barack Obama's support for "gay marriage," and the Democratic Party's plan to add same-sex "marriage" to its platform.
Cabrera spoke of the erosion of traditional marriage and warned that "darkness has come upon our land."
He congratulated the Southern Baptist congregation on its success in helping to pass a North Carolina constitutional amendment prohibiting gay "marriage" in the state....
1 Corinthians 6 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.---NASB
This pastor sounds quite correct on Homosexuality, but party crasher? I doubt if many of the attendees even knew he was there, but one secular t.v. news commentator pointed out NC is a swing state, and voted for President Obama the last time, but due to the DNC support of queer unions, which NC has a constitutional amendment against, this state may not support the President or rest of the Democratic slate this time.
I see the Democratic candidate for Senate in Nebraska made a wise decision for not attending the DNC this time, because Nebraska officially doesn't recognize queer unions either.
