Evangelicals Blast Obama Over 'War on Religion' at Fla. Rally
Hundreds of evangelicals gathered in Tampa, Fla., on Sunday to highlight the importance of the November election due to President Barack Obama's "war on religion." The speakers at the Faith and Freedom Coalition rally included Mike Huckabee, Ralph Reed and Newt Gingrich.
Reed, founder of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, addressed a crowd of about 1,000 people at the Tampa Theatre Sunday afternoon, ahead of the Republican National Convention. He said conservatives were partly responsible for Obama's victory in the 2008 election when 17 million evangelical Christians chose not to vote.
"The church has allowed this to happen. I vowed that after the 2008 elections that as long as I have breath in my body that was never going to happen in America again," Tampa Bay Times quoted Reed as saying. "If we have to, we will crawl across broken glass, but we are coming and when we come we are going to have...
Our vote should reflect our the Biblical values that we hold dear. Like you shall not kill instead of pro-abortion. Like they that commit such things are under God's judgment and worthy of death instead of pro LGTB agenda. Like you shall not steal instead of forcibly taking the earnings of the productive and giving to the unproductive.(by the way, Jim, one thing I have observed about liberals, they have NO clue how the economy works, so called voodoo economics (a George Bush term) gave the Nation its longest recorded period of peacetime prosperity without recession, everybody's standard of living increased) Like woe to those who call evil good and good evil. Like you shall not lie instead of saying the stimulus helped the economy. One of the major causes of the economic downturn was the policies of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Run by democratic operatives, defended by Dodd/Frank, and the three largest recipients of their lobby dollars, Obama, Frank and Dodd. It is the Lord who sets up and removes our rulers, we pray that He will give us ones who are a solace to good and a terror to evil and pass laws that allow us to live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Apparently part of the Republican plan for economic recovery is trickle down (voo-doo) tax changes, and turning the foxes out to guard the chicken pen. I doubt even if Paul Ryan: ‘I Agree’ We Need To Reinstate Glass-Steagall will ever see the light of day.
judging as to the fact that they changed RNC rules from 5 states to 8 states to keep Ron Paul from being on the ballot, kicking out the Maine delegation and all, a delegation full of veterans..... if they cannot respect the rules that govern the election process we expect different as leader?.. the inventor of Obamacare, it really should be called Romneycare.
Eschatology and view of church government is essential.
There was a thing called the dark ages. it was dark because they merged state and church together and used religion to quench the people. today we call it RCC. faithful believers brought the gospel in every generation and paid with persecution. when reformers broke from RCC, they went back to the magistrates and realigned the church/state, while faithful believers in Christ and the Acts church were rounded up.
The New World was founded largely by those escaping europes church/state, then established separations and balances of power, and individual rghts to life, relig
Do Mormons believe they are going to rule the world one day as do Zionists and Muslims? Do they believe utopia is merging power under themselves and their "great intellect"?
that would be building the one world merger, foretold in scripture.
Apparently you haven't considered that it isn't possible that a real Christian would ever be elected POTUS because the constitution, as presently interpreted by the judicial branch, and the law of God are contrary one to the other.
Further, four supreme court justices are likely to retire in the next four years. A vote for Obama, who will nominate their replacements, is certain to set a course for the supreme court to move further to the liberal left.
You harp on and on about Baptist bible translators but are oblivious to liberal judges interpreting our constitution. Where's the consistency in your thinking, Jim?
maybe I just missed it, could not find it in a Google search, guys been running for president since the last election cycle, and no where is it stated he pushed his Mormon views, preached his Mormon views or said that it had a deep influence on his political decisions. We are not electing the pastor of the United States but the president. We are voting for the ideas of the party (not that we support everyone of them) not for the perfection of the candidates. If you think the democratic platform more reflects biblical values than the republican, either you are grossly ignorant of their political beliefs or of what saith the Scriptures. Possible both.
I have no beef with the Republican Party, my Penn. ancestors were Republicans probably before yours were. Of course I do have a beef with the "Christian Democratic" Party it has turned into which is never Christian, and sometimes not too Democratic.
The baby killers are those who don't support Obamacare, remember what I said about pre-natal care?
BBC News wrote: Fact: Before ACA, pre-natal care wasn't normal women's care....
Women have been going into debt, declaring bankruptcy, ruining their lives; all to give birth.

You can see why Jim supports the bibles of Liberal Anglican popish supporting heretics with his kind of thinking!!! And why? Because Jim has some vague idea that a mormon will do worse???
Jim's real beef is that Romney is a Republican. Perhaps he'd rather see two Democrats running, so he could make an "independent" choice.

It don't matter who gets in the White House, if they are God's judgement on this county then so be it, maybe Christens will stop being so soft and thinned-skinned then.

OK! There is a book called the Bible which tells you how to serve the Lord. Here's how... Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
1Peter 2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
Well, the founders of this country made religious freedom. The president is not a a king nor does his faith determine ours. By voting for Romney you are not saying I believe in Mormon doctrine, but for not voting you are saying that all the things that obama stands for you are good with for another four years. It is not the lesser of two evils, and because a guy is Mormon doesn't mean we turn away. We stand firm and let everyone see Christ in us. The problem steams from Christians consistently running away from the problem. Why dont we have a Christian party? The reason is the devil has us so busy worried about and hating everyone elses belief we cannot love like we were commanded to do and ralley up and priovide the funding and time to offer up our own candidate.
Starlet wrote Do you mean you will refrain from voting Republican - AND BY DEFAULT allow the abomination to get back in just to demonstrate your "perfect" and "sinless" theological position in politics?
Wow.... Nothing more for me to say and no point in arguing. Go ahead and side with your Mormon who will be so much better. Go ahead and change the system with your vote. More power to you. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Would you clearly explain what it is the Tea Party movement believes that you have difficulty with? Then have a cuppa; it'll calm your nerves.
