Scientists Successfully ‘Hack’ Brain To Obtain Private Data
It sounds like something out of the movie “Johnny Mnemonic,” but scientists have successfully been able to “hack” a brain with a device that’s easily available on the open market.

Researchers from the University of California and University of Oxford in Geneva figured out a way to pluck sensitive information from a person’s head, such as PIN numbers and bank information.

It doesn't look to me like they can extract a PIN or password from one's mind directly, but only determine whether one recognizes it when displayed.

Still, technology like this, however invasive, tends to get widely adopted in a pragmatic culture more concerned with outcomes than practical righteousness.

A new type of lie detector!!
Problem will be that corroboration of the act perceived must remain evidenced based. Reading the mind still has its doubts in a court of law, and so it should.
