Target gets behind 'gay marriage'

With Target's new wedding registry ad featuring a male couple, one proponent of natural marriage says the retailer is apparently promoting homosexual marriage.

In recent months, JC Penney's advertising has promoted homosexuality -- both through print ads and the selection of lesbian comedian Ellen DeGeneres as the company's spokesperson. Not to be outdone, Target's ad promoting its wedding registry depicts two men holding hands, standing nose-to-nose. They are accompanied by the slogan, "Be yourself, together. Build a Target wedding gift registry as unique as the two of you." ...

Ah yes, change topics and ignore the facts. First, Frank, is Frank from Clearwater who added the link to his comment, not Barney Frank. Second, it was the Community Reinvestment Act started and enforced by the Democrats that was the prime cause of the subprime crises not repeal of Glass-Steagall. So, instead of acknowledging the fact that almost all in support of the gay marriage laws were democrats and almost all opposed were republicans, Jim puts out an article about GOP quiet evolution on gay rights. It figures. And really you are an independent? When is the last time you voted non-democratic?

Too general a statement, Jim. The Democrats are active destroyers of principle, and dismantlers of the country; the Republicans, passive wannabees. That's why Independents, if they really are, should learn how to drink tea. It would help clear the fog.

This is what I have to say about it, and when did I ever endorse the queer Franks? He and Dobbs had a law, apparently the lobbyists are remodeling to suit their tastes, which they couldn't have done if they wrote it right. Remember, ‘Evil’ lobbyist Jack Abramoff talk US politics (short YouTube) and perhaps that law wouldn't be needed at all if like Paul Ryan: ‘I Agree’ We Need To Reinstate Glass-Steagall. By the way, I'm nonpartisan when it comes to crooks in office perhaps voters have to apply term limits at the ballot box?

Oh, the amoral Republicans?

Arron Blake wrote:
But beneath it all, a little-noticed trend has emerged: the Republican Party has moved steadily to the left on gay [i.e. queer] rights.

Just wonder what our friend Jim from the capital of Nebraska would say of the list shared by Frank. The vast majority, (well over 90%) of politicians who supported gay marriage were democrat, and the vast majority of those opposing it (link at bottom of page) were republicans. Not defending either party, but am sure the LBGT group knows who their allies are. Seeing the the "gay" community is only 2% of population, pressure must be coming from other sources.

but if the Lord tarries, we will be required to count the cost before our heavenly Father,

the huge corporate/statist conglomerate that we've helped create is demanding homage.

we pray for the youth that they may hear the gospel, that saves from the road to destruction.

You may well be right.

James 5:7-8 KJV
7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

Hebrews 4:14 KJV
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

Hebrews 10:23-25 KJV
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

THE DAY is surely approaching.

Thanks for the list, Frank! I had no idea all these companies supported same sex marriage... I suppose all one can do is try to avoid using their products and services. As I said earlier, the less I shop, the more money my husband and I will save.

This abomination has so thoroughly penetrated our society that there is no way to publicly or culturally escape it. Oh how I wish we could. If someone has a list they avoid, then good for them. Scroll down to organizations, etc. and you will see what I mean. As an aside, I saw a much bigger list a while back.

Scratch Target off my list of places to shop... My husband and I are saving money as I try not to support or contribute to those promoting/marketing homosexuality as being "normal" and a desirable way to live.

Now what will Amy Grant do who often appears in Target's ads? (Don't hold your breath).

All of the fortune 500 companies will defend the new PC laws supporting "gay rights" and the confusion of marriage....for money of course. Only family and private businesses will stand up like Chick Filet, and not bow to State corporation-status pressure.

When Government and Corporations support homosexual behavior as an "identity" about "rights" and suppress or malign Christians it will be a form of persecutory Fascism and a New Inquisition will begin, where PC Laws are the New Orthodoxy of the State. Then you will have to have the "mark of State approval" to buy or to sell.

"Target's ad promoting its wedding registry depicts two men holding hands, standing nose-to-nose. They are accompanied by the slogan, "Be yourself, together."

I think that is the wrong slogan. It should be "About yourself, even together."

Rediscover WALMART same items just not the prestige. Bible is clear that we'll have to make these choices. Joshua "for me and my house we'll serve the LORD."

"Target's ad promoting its wedding registry depicts two men holding hands, standing nose-to-nose. They are accompanied by the slogan, "Be yourself, together."

Company after company and politician after politician are bowing to the great sodomite golden calf of abomination.

Why are so many people and institutions jumping on this bandwagon of vile sexual lust and licentiousness?

Because the spiritual battle has increased in intensity.

The battle as you know is not about flesh and blood but, - "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

By validating the sodomite cause Satan's people are fighting against Biblical teaching and therefore God's ordained ways. And that is the real conflict which we experience around us today in society.

Why is it such a strange thing with you that our society should be promoting homosexuality? Romans 1-2 makes it clear that "God gave them over to do things which are unseemly". People who reject God manufacture their own judgement, and homosexuality happens to be one of them. Homosexuality is only the symptom of a bigger problem, which is rejection of Christ as Lord.

"[Gay men ultimately] have to wear a diaper or a butt plug just to be able to contain their bowels.”

Wonder why these corporate titans companies insist on supporting and now even promote this dangerous lifestyle.

Very short-sighted CEOs.

I feel sorry for all the victim's of gays being allowed to marry namely the children. What a sick thing to teach a child. I'm sorry but children do not need two mothers or two fathers and they certainly do not need any man calling themselves a mother like I heard a certain famous gay man say " when my child asks for mother I will say here I am " Sorry buddy but my mother never had testicles!
