Damson Dene Hotel owner Jonathan Denby insists that removing the Gideons Bible in favor of E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey was not made due to any deep philosophical reasons. He told NBCnews.com that it was done “just because the novel is so popular.”
Denby said he has received emails from people in the United States “quoting Scriptures to us and suggesting that it would be a good thing to put the Bible back.”
“People in the States feel much more strongly,” he said....
Ah, the users of SermonAudio that live in Great Britain need to send more emails to this fellow. You can let us "upstart colonialists" out do you! It seems as if it is a Catholic or Anglican priest who's raising the most fuss about the removal of the Bibles. Hmm. Anyway, it's good this fellow is getting complaints from somewhere about allowing the use of the Gideon Bibles, which I don't believe cost him anything, anyway. Too bad he isn't a Christian, but a lover of money.
