Agriculture Secretary Prays For Rain

USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack

The drought in the Midwest is getting worse for hard-hit farmers and the wilting crops will mean higher food prices, the top U.S. agriculture official told President Barack Obama at the White House on Wednesday.

While USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack said he was praying everyday for rain, he told Obama the drought is not as bad as in the last great drought of 1988.

"I get on my knees everyday and I'm saying an extra prayer right now," Vilsack said. "If I had a rain prayer or a rain dance I could do, I would do it." ...

how about repenting for being silent on sterilized, patented seed connected to organ failure and sterilization of eater?

even the abortionist I talked with knew that this seed would lead civilization to darwins priests in white, because their health would go down.

no brainer -- perceived improved profit and emassing of monopoly more important than health of people.

during depression and then WWII it was victory gardens that got people through.

individuals within community feeding themselves.....

today, its corporate-state (fascism) despair as we stare at barren crops, and hope for the big G to save us.

yet this subject not even on radar of Christian ethicists. is it because CFR hasn't told us yet to think about it?

Past judgements serve as great warnings. But I believe we need to pray for the repentance of our nation earnestlly and be careful not to try and do God's job for him. He may have judged in ways that seem hard to us, but His chief instruments always had the softest hearts.

Lord Jesus Christ if it be thy will let there be plentiful precipitation for vegetable crops to grow. In thy most Glorious and Holy Name. Amen.
7:16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.
17 Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?
20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

""I get on my knees everyday and I'm saying an extra prayer right now," Vilsack said. "If I had a rain prayer or a rain dance I could do, I would do it.""

Well a real Christian wouldn't make a remark like that.

If God makes a choice over this it may be between the nation which murders babies in the womb and legalizes the abomination - versus - the blessing of rain upon such people???

His response may be, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;" Romans 1:18.
