Boy Scouts reaffirm ban on gays as members, leaders
After a confidential two-year review, the Boy Scouts of America on Tuesday emphatically reaffirmed its policy of excluding gays, ruling out any changes despite relentless protest campaigns by some critics.
An 11-member special committee, formed discreetly by top Scout leaders in 2010, “came to the conclusion that this policy is absolutely the best policy for the Boy Scouts,” the organization’s national spokesman, Deron Smith, told the Associated Press.
Mr. Smith said the committee, composed of professional Scout executives and adult volunteers, was unanimous in its conclusion — preserving a long-standing policy that was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2000 and has remained controversial ever since....
Father I pray that you would strengthen the Boy Scouts Group as they take their stand against what is evil in thy sight. I pray O God that you would protect them from all the attacks of the evil one. The Boy Scouts Was Indeed A Good "Schoolmaster"; Leading Me In The FEAR & REVERENCE Of ALMIGHTY GOD & CHRIST !
AS THEY ARE STILL DOING TO MILLIONS OF AMERICAN YOUTH TODAY !
Apparently they wanted to remain the Boy Scouts, and not the "It" scouts. Since the Boy Scouts is supported by many church groups, it was a good decision on their part, and of course the correct moral one as well, The Bible Says Homosexuality is Sin.
