The 220th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) narrowly passed a resolution on Thursday against using corporal punishment on children.
"Most people know the difference between discipline and abuse. I would like us to trust parents that most of them can responsibly [use] corporal punishment," said the Rev. James Emig of the Denver Presbytery, according to a PC(USA) blog.
Many Christians believe corporal punishment is a biblical practice. Proverbs 13:24 says, "Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them." Still, other Christians believe children can be effectively disciplined in a non-physical way....
Genesis 12 2 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; 3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."---NASB
Another church which cannot read the Bible and is no longer Christian. Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. Obviously PCUSA members do not love their children.
These pseudo Christian churches which reject the Word of God and therefore God Himself, appear to be demonstrating a pattern. First ordain women to the pulpit, then install the abomination into the pulpit, thus destroying marriage and the family they hate their kids and show that they are no longer the bride of Christ.
Clarification a denomination calling itself a Presbyterian Church is doing this not the "REAL" Presbyterians who are the Presbyterian Church of America which we hold to all tenents of Scripture and all the articles of Faith and Sola's.
The Presbyterian Church ordains gay preachers and now outlaws spanking. What other Bible precepts will they abandon before the wheels come off their cart?
