Church of Scotland now ‘radically liberal’ says minister who quit over gay clergy
A FORMER Kirk minister has claimed the Church of Scotland has become “radically liberal” and faces a “haemorrhaging” of evangelical membership over the issue of ordination of openly gay clergy.
• Rev Ivor MacDonald cites induction of gay clergy and “radically liberal” Church of Scotland as reason for leaving Kirk
• “[It is] clear that the denomination had rejected biblical teaching over the whole of life”
The Rev Ivor MacDonald, formerly of Kilmuir and Stenscholl, on the Isle of Skye, will today become the first Kirk minister who left over the divisive issue of gay clergy to be inducted to a Free Church congregation....
"It became very clear that this wasn’t about homosexual practice or not, it was about whether the Bible was authoritative in the Church,” he said"
Yes the bottom line is Satan using sodomy against Scripture, that has always been the point at issue.
Liberalism is Satans pollution in the church and the nation, not only in Scotland but in the western world.
Curiously the abominable infestation of such a perverted lust in church and society reveals the spiritual battle which Satan and his demons are waging in the world against all that is Biblical. But only the Christian will perceive this in the light provided by the Holy Spirit.
Since the 1843 Disruption, in fact prior to then, the Kirk has been declining in doctrine. Like the C of E the Kirk has gone the way of false witness and corrupt doctrine. Today there is no national church in Britain, only a sad parody of what once was and some were.
I think it was 1966 when they put Liberal women into the pulpits which signified the fact that they had transgressed against Scripture and become predominantly Liberal. When the sodomite was put into pulpit in Aberdeen and the General Assembly just wanted to debate this and sent a commission to investigate it, then the death knell rung in Scotland.
"As a result of this fateful decision [to concur with the CoE's acceptance of birth control in 1930], Eberstadt is not surprised at the sexual inconsistencies we now see in Protestant churches. Again looking to Anglicanism [and the Church of Scotland] and its recent decision to ordain practicing homosexuals, Eberstadt believes this development makes perfect sense:
"Once heterosexuals start claiming the right to act as homosexuals [by engaging in sterile sex], it would not be long before homosexuals started claiming the rights of heterosexuals.""
These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. Now Enoch... prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes..., to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. (Jude 1:12-19 NKJV) Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. (2 John 1:9 NKJV)
"'Haemorrhaging' of evangelical [pastors]" is unlikely given their pay, ancient sanctuary, rectory, utilities, insurance and even their retirement would all be unplugged from them by the radically-gay Presbyterian Church.
