Allegan: Alleged ex-Muslim terrrorist's speech shut down for safety, not message
The city of Allegan said it shut down a controversial speaker over safety concerns, not the content of an alleged former Muslim terrorist’s speech.

Police Chief Rick Hoyer shut down the event after police received information that Saleem was the subject of death threats from Muslim extremists with a $25 million bounty on his head under a Fatwa.

“(The city) learned this information immediately before the event began,” attorney Thomas Meagher wrote in a motion to dismiss filed today.

Well, 25 million does seem high, though religious leaders do offer a cash bounty for carrying out death sentences, e.g.,
BBC wrote:
An Iranian religious foundation has raised its $2.5m bounty on the head of British author Salman Rushdie by $300,000, reports say.

"This increase is aimed at encouraging the carrying out of the fatwa," Ayatollah Hassan Sanei, director of the Khordad-15 Foundation, was quoted saying.

Police received information. Good, perhaps they can share this solid information that they relied upon.

Since a fatwa is an official Islamic public legal pronouncement, where is the link to this public fatwa so that the public can see it?

And this fatwa included a $25 million bounty? This seems very unusual. Normally, they stipulate Muslim religious duties. But since the police have received such public information no doubt they can share it publicly.

The Thomas More Law Center is bringing the case? Hmmn... very appropriate.
