Dearborn Muslim Charged with Nine Counts of Attempted Murder for Trying to Kill Street Preachers Outside the Islamic Center of America
The video “American Muslims Stone Christians in Dearborn, MI” from this year’s Dearborn Arab Festival has gone viral. The group at the center of the incident, Official Street Preachers, is led by Ruben Israel. I sat down for a candid conversation and interview with the man behind this video and got an inside exclusive look at what really happened, including a frightening vehicular attack that wasn’t captured on video.
Did the guy in the SUV pull over or was he forced to?
RI: They had to block him in. Once he was on the street they were headed his way and he was blocked in. They threw him against the car, cuffed him, frisked him, checked his car and again. It’s not like we can make this up. He is now officially charged with 9 counts of attempted murder.

Re Christian should know better: Thanks for the advice... But I am at the point where I really am tired of all the finger pointing among believers. I would much rather have zealous Christians out sharing the Gospel and challenging the culture than pious individuals who find fault with them. However, I respect Pastor Hammack and will listen to his commentary.
Christian Zionism does not belong in Christianity. Its a new religion.
Besides changing the gospel by yoking the Christian to two covenants!! It undermines the witness of the saint to the Muslim and the Jew, who both need Christ and the eternal covenant, not condescending platitudes about running their affairs.
Christians need to listen to the brethren of Libya, Syria, and Iraq before continuing on in their anger against a religion.

I'm with Rufus on this story... In fact some of the Christians I most admire are street preachers because they are actually living out their faith like the early disciples of Jesus Christ as found in Scripture. Perhaps some commentors need to re-read the book of Acts and take note of the riots caused and arrests of the Apostles.

I agree with you Rufus 100%While each person responds to their own form of preaching, to make the pulpit a stand of candy coating smiles and telling everyone "oh smile and it will be okay" . We need to preach the Bible and allow all to know it is not sugar coated. I hear the Bible saying "you are neither hot or cold" which is as wrong as not being a Christian.

Their methods may be imperfect, in your eyes, but criticizing them for pointing out that Mohammed is a liar, a pervert etc. all of which are TRUE...unreal. Whose side are you on when taking such positions?
It was common for the Christians of the Bible to preach against false gods prior to showing them the true God (see Acts 19). Do you all just hang your hats on Joel Osteen verses and ignore the rest of the Bible that calls for saving people with fear?
These street preachers weren't even saying much but they were cursed at, had projectiles hurled at them and allegedly these Mohammedans attempted to kill them. Yet, even now, lukewarm, effeminate Christians see fit to criticize the Christians who are laying their lives on the line fcr the Lord. Folks need to grow a spine and support their brethren or hold their peace.
My pastor & deacon worked in the Arab festival & gently witnessed to a few high born middle easterners. They were able to do so because they shared the defense of their faith in grace & love. They saw these "preachers" egg on the crowd with signs much like the Westboro gang. R they totally ignorant not to see there is NO Jesus in their approach??

(2 Timothy 2:24-26 NASB) Rather than wield the sword of the Spirit like a two handed broadsword, maybe we can act with the thoughtfulness and precision of a surgeon.

It is not possible to "share the faith", neither is it biblical. The gospel is a command. When it comes with the authority of the Spirit, Muslims and other sinners believe by the power of God, not by being shown proof.
Besides which, ecumenism is not designed to improve conversion rates, but to destroy the testimony of God, and replace it with a man-centred message.

Muslims would be completely unfamiliar with this teaching. Christians on the other hand, have known this for two thousand years yet insist on continuing the schism from the church across the street. They baptize their youth, we baptize our babies. They are teetotalers, we enjoy a quality Merlot.
Until Christian leaders bury this divisive ecclesiological hatchet (even within conservative "sister" Presbyterian denominations), how can Christianity begin to share a common summary of the four good new books with the Muslim?
How could it be said that Reuben Israel is peacefully protesting when one of his signs reads: "Muhammad is a Liar, False Prophet, Muderer, Child Molester, Pervert"?
