AME Threatens to Withdraw Obama Support

Members of the African-American evangelical community called out President Barack Obama on Friday. The group challenged Obama to meet with them to discuss his stance on same-sex marriage.

The Coalition of African-American Pastors (CAAP), along with representatives of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, will hold a press conference on Monday in Nashville, Tenn., to â€œdemand that President Obama meet with themâ€ to discuss the issue.

CAAP has launched a marriage petition at 100000signatures4marriage.com.

â€œPresident Obama celebrated gay pride week in the White House, but has still not responded to our request to meet with him or Eric Holder on the marriage issue,â€ said William Owens, president of CAAP. ...

I would someone, sometime, point out that The Church God's Program for Ministry.

I'm more than certain there are avenues for individual members to say something to the President if they are unhappy with some of his policies, How to Contact the President of the United States Instead of 10 step program this is a 17 step one! Apparently everything is more complicated when it concerns the Government.
