The National Association of Evangelicals and contraception for the unmarried
NAE President Leith Anderson
I‚Äôve been working on a story about strange bedfellows: The National Association of Evangelicals, with its allegiance to commands such as ‚ÄúYou shall not commit adultery,‚ÄĚ and The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, which is devoted to promoting contraceptive use by the unmarried.
I have been unable so far, though, to talk with NAE President Leith Anderson. I hope to hear from him today so as to update this breaking story tomorrow. WORLD plans to go to press on Tuesday with the full story....
As the PCA GA voted on Wednesday to stay in the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE), World Magazine's Marvin Olasky reported yesterday that the The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy (a dotted line organization to Planned Parenthood's worldview), which is devoted to promoting contraceptive use by the unmarried, donated $1 million to the NAE in 2008 and is renegotiating a follow-on program of a similar magnitude.
The rub is that the NAE's total operating budget has only been about $1 million for each of the past three years. Therefore, the NCPTUP's donation is quite substantial for the NAE.
When your denomination links arms with Planned Parenthood in any way, it won't be long before their paganism fatally infects you.
