The Equality Network said 69 MSPs have signed its pledge saying they would back a change in the law.
They include the leaders of all the opposition parties, the majority of SNP and Labour MSPs, and all Liberal Democrat and Green MSPs.
Key Scottish Government cabinet ministers have also indicated they will be voting for the measure, including Alex Salmond, Nicola Sturgeon, John Swinney and Kenny MacAskill.
If the numbers translate to a vote in the Scottish Parliament, it would mean equal marriage legislation would be passed....
Thanks, of the few, and thanks for the correction. I did mean The Free Church of Scotland (continuing) of which Rev. David P. Murray, now a professor in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was a member when he pastored the church at Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis.
I had a question for West Highland White Terror: Are you saying you are the only straight person left in Scotland or are you a sodomite as well? Your comment didn't indicate where you stand on this issue. Are you even in Scotland?
I've never been to Scotland though I would like to one day since my family heritage is from there and there is much church history in Scotland, but I find it hard to believe that there are no true Christians left in all of Scotland. Of The Few indicates there are a few.
Here in Houston we have an openly-gay mayor. That doesn't mean that all Houstonians support her or her lifestyle. I certainly did not vote for her.
Sometimes goverment officials make decisions that do not reflect the will of the people as a whole. We have that problem in America with the imposter from Kenya in the White House.

(a) Yes there are a few! Even some who attend the Kirk. (CofS). (b) That would be the "Free Church of Scotland (continuing)."
The Song of Solomon is NOT a Christian sex manual, it speaks of the relationship between Christ and His Bride, the Church!
Also, there are true believers left in Scotland, just as God has a remnant left in America. The Church of Scotland (continuing) statement quoted earlier in no way endorsed sodomite unions. David P. Murray, now at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary was formerly a COS(c) pastor in Stornoway and is a long-time preacher on SermonAudio.com. He in no way endorses sodomite unions. Americans have no reason to crow. Our nation has lead the way in tolerating or promoting this abomination!
Since this article is about the work of sin and Satan, we can assume Barry that your praise as usual is for sin and Satan.
May the Lord bring you into His light and truth one day.
Only THEN will you really praise God!
2Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not

Remember, even Sodom didn't have the cojones to make same-sex marriage the law of the land. Whatever the consequences are, they ain't looking too good.
But, as long as your flat has a real solid basement with wi-fi, you'll be just fine for awhile.

Better than none, while yes there might very well be 100,000's of Christians pointing out,The Bible Says Homosexuality is Sin, still what you really need is the support of all those who know that homosexuality is deviant behavior.
While it is a religious matter for Christians (as it should be for Jews, Hindus, and yeah, even Muslims), it needs to be pointed out with Europe's declining birth rate, you need the people reproducing, hopefully Christians especially.
Yes, I know the state of Nebraska has to clean it's own house, before we go around trying to clean others, our State University system, has officially moral turpitude by letting degenerate people health benefits for their degenerate partners. Not many years ago, they would be fired for the practices they are now being rewarded for, or for that matter mentioning ordinances passed in our two largest cities condoning depravity
So, let me say I will pass along my sympathy (really empathy now) and prayers for the people of Great Britain.

Quite right.

Thank the Lord when you see Lady Liberty's eternal flame over the horizon. For on her shores you may take refuge from the wrath which is to come.

The point is, those who say sex is for making babies only, or even imply such, are wrong.

The Most Faithful Presbyterian wrote: The FCS(c) states this: "Marriage ought to be about more than just the fulfillment of personal sexual desire." (Feb 2012, p 12) Because Christian sex has been turned into little more than a toy, what right does the Free Church of Scotland have to shout down the homosexual and his desire for same-sex marriage? Something's twisted here and it's not just the homosexual. Even Ed Young, a mega-mega church pastor, is admitting this. Christian sex has become not much more than a fulfillment of personal sexual desire. Now that Christian sex is a toy, even for the most conservative Presbyterian denominations, they apparently lie inert. Their candle has been snuffed out. Their salt is useless and has been trampled under foot. May they RIP.
"A successful Christian rally United Christian Witness against Same-sex Marriage went ahead outside the Scottish Parliament building in Edinburgh ... The event was staged on the final day before the close of the Scottish Government's public consultation on same-sex marriage. Supporting the event were around 65 members from various churches, including the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing), the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland, the Zion Baptist Church, and the Protestant Truth Society in addition to representatives from other churches in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland."
There needs to be 100,000s of Christians in the streets protesting regardless of inclement weather.
65 is no "success."
