US Army Suicides Hit One Per Day; Higher Than Combat Casualties
A worrying trend has developed in the U.S. military – soldiers are killing themselves at a rate of one per day, new figures have shown, which are the highest since the U.S. began its military operations in Afghanistan in 2001.

The findings, conducted by the Pentagon, determined that as of June 3, active-duty suicides for 2012 had reached 154, while they were 130 for the same period last year. The suicides even exceed U.S. combat deaths so far this year. Casualties.org shows that there were 139 U.S. casualties in Afghanistan in 2012, and only one in Iraq.

"We are deeply concerned about suicide in the military," said Cynthia Smith, a Pentagon spokeswoman, as BBC News reported. It is "one of the most urgent problems" the Army faces, Smith added. ...

Unicode is a standard for encoding all the world's alphabets. Since this includes Greek & Hebrew, it is useful for Christians to know. This is a good resource: www.alanwood.net/unicode/index.html

Neil my friend,

It was human logic "filled with the Spirit"(Ephesians 5:18)based on the Word of God. So, I believe it is true that it was actually both Divine logic and human logic working harmoniously, and there was no "or" involved.

You are right that the "news item is not simply righteousness". You asked what those people have in common and I provided one thing. I left it free to anyone else to add other things those people have in common if they wished to.

I love your use of what looks to me, I don't have the eyesight I used to have,
a tiny white smiley. And I sure would appreciate if you would tell me how you did that.
