Obama Prays for Fallen Troops in Memorial Day Proclamation
President Barack Obama on Friday prayed for all the service members who have given their lives in the nation's wars as he proclaimed Memorial Day 2012, to be observed Monday.
"Our nation endures and thrives because of the devotion of our men and women in uniform, who, from generation to generation, carry a burden heavier than any we may ever know," Obama said in his prayer for peace. "On Memorial Day, we honor those who have borne conflict's greatest cost, mourn where the wounds of war are fresh, and pray for a just, lasting peace."
The president said the American fabric was "stitched with stories of sons and daughters who gave their lives in service to the country they loved."...
John Yurich said it exactly right! Pretentious faith won't save this country any more than it did Europe. Acknowledging our guilt and turning to Christ is in order.

This nation thrives because of God's mercy and blessing, but if we as a people spurn the One who has given is all that we have, then how much longer can we expect to remain blessed. Second, as a Christian and a veteran, I really wish that Obama would not patronize either my faith or my service by giving lip service to either.
God has slowly been lifting His hand of protection over the United States in recent years as can be observed by the increasing frequency of earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes.
