The Church of England paved the way on Thursday for a final vote on women bishops to go ahead in July, but supporters angry at last-minute concessions to traditionalists who favour an all-male clergy immediately threatened to scupper it.
After more than a decade of bitter wrangling, traditionalists and liberals appeared no closer to finding a workable blueprint this week with the opposing sides predicting future chaos or departures from the Anglican mother church.
A rare decision by bishops on Monday to make two amendments to accommodate Anglo-Catholics and conservative evangelicals, seems to have stoked tempers still further....

C.of.E 39 Articles. Article 6. "HOLY Scriptures containeth all things necessary to salvation: so that whatsoever is not read therein, nor may be proved thereby, is not to be required of any man, that it should be believed as an article of the faith, or be thought requisite or necessary to salvation."
Article 20. "THE Church hath power to decree rites or ceremonies and authority in controversies of faith; and yet it is not lawful for the Church to ordain anything contrary to God's word written, neither may it so expound one place of Scripture, that it be repugnant to another. Wherefore, although the Church be a witness and a keeper of Holy Writ: yet, as it ought not to decree anything against the same, so besides the same ought it not to enforce anything to be believed for necessity of salvation."
From the original 39 articles of the C.of.E. Article No. 35 The Homily of Matrimony.
"THE word of Almightie GOD doth testifie and declare, whence the originall beginning of Matrimony commeth, and why it is ordained. It is instituted of GOD, to the intent that man and woman should liue lawfully in a perpetuall friendship, to bring foorth fruite, and to auoide Fornication. By which meane a good conscience might bee preserued on both parties, in brideling the corrupt inclinations of the flesh, within the limites of honestie. For GOD hath straitly forbidden all whoredome and vncleannesse, and hath from time to time taken grieuous punishment of this inordinate lust, as all stories and ages haue declared. Furthermore it is also ordained, that the Church of GOD and his kingdome might by this kinde of life be conserued and enlarged, not onely in that GOD giueth children by his blessing, but also in that: they be brought vp by the Parents godly, in the knowledge of GODS word, that thus the knowledge of GOD and true Religion might bee deliuered by succession from one to another that finally many might enioy that euerlasting immortalitie."
Ah, John, UK, what has been happening is that most High Church Anglicans have or will become Catholics, Anglicans have new U.S. home in Catholic church. Those that are determined to stay on that 6 lane super highway to hell, are not likely to depart it. But we can always hope, that some will take the narrow path.
Matthew 7 13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. 14 "For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.---NASB

Departure is sensible, especially for any Christians left in the anglican communion. But then, the traditional service is imprinted in the brains of these folks, and they would find it very difficult to join an independent church, with its non-liturgical order. There is a lot of security and familiarity with a liturgy. But the anglican church has almost ceased to be, and soon will be no more, even what it seemed to be, or people thought it to be. Bye Bye!
The Ecumenical Movement will swallow up everything and everybody who has any sort of truck with it. I am one big dissenter who will always stay aloof of such treachery.
"The consecration of women, along with homosexual bishops and same-sex marriages, is among the most divisive issues facing the 77 million members of the Anglican Communion around the world."
This paragraph from the article sums it all up for the C.of.E., Anglican communion.
It demonstrates just how far distant they are from Biblical Christianity.
It also proves that Liberals are servants of Satan with the mission whilst on earth to destroy the churches, confound the gullible and help the Roman Catholics to nullify and sabotage that which may be called 'church'.
