Obama drops in polls after backing gay marriage

US President Barack Obama has lost his lead in the polls after announcing his support for gay marriage.

A poll for the New York Times and CBS News shows that support for the President has dropped amongst registered voters from 48 to 43 per cent.

It is the first important poll since the President made his controversial announcement supporting a redefinition of marriage.

San Jose-- they are trying to take down the family --- an autonomous unit that gives glory to God that stands in the way of the strong arm.....

that's what communist countries do.
that's what agenda 21 and the bill introduced in congress dealing with parental rights is about.

that's why you see geraldo rivera saying he was raped by TSA.... its all the same move.

usually the kids are taken to reeducation camps. in China everyone was shuffled around and the big arm ran the businesses/living spaces to keep track of people, making sure, for instance that a woman was not pregnant by searching their trash.

since Americans have traded their ind'l freedoms in the cohn for security from darwin, they lose more and more of what is valuable.

voting doesn't matter --- the election results will be counted by foreign investors.

yep, we even outsourced our elections.

Maybe the problem for Obama is that most of the actual benefits dispensed by government to married couples are already available to those involved in homosexual civil unions (or so I've been told). If this is the case then he can only "buy votes" by giving them the "marriage" label--but this will alienate some of his black supporters as well as his more-moral independents who don't approve of the homosexual lifestyle, much less having it be equated with traditional marriage.

Since Obama is evidently in political trouble (sinking poll numbers and floundering economy) he has to take risks like this if he's going to have any hope of winning in Nov.

Ah but voters have short memory retention.

Perhaps that is why Obama made his statement early.
