Vatican Tells UN to Respect Parental Rights and Homeschooling
As some totalitarian-minded governments escalate their attacks on parental rights and homeschooling, the Vatican’s delegation to the United Nations called on the world to respect families, the rights of parents to direct the upbringing of their children, and non-governmental forms of education. The Holy See’s representatives also called on governments last week to stop indoctrinating the youth.
Noting that there are around 250,000 Catholic schools around the globe, the Church’s permanent observer mission to the UN said its religious educational institutions are there to help. Parents, meanwhile, “have the right and duty to choose schools inclusive of homeschooling, and they must possess the freedom to do so, which in turn, must be respected and facilitated by the State.â€...

The RCC is not a Cult because the RCC has always affirmed the doctrines of the Deity of Jesus and the Holy Trinity which are the two doctrines that separate a True church from a False church(Cult). The JW, Mormon and Christian Science organizations are referred to as Cults because they deny the Deity of Jesus and the Holy Trinity. And where do you come up with this nonsense that the RCC denies liberty of conscience in the education and raising of children of mixed marriages of Catholics and Non Catholics? The Catholic partner in the mixed marriage has to promise to raise the children Catholic. The children could learn by watching Billy Graham Crusades and other Fundamentalist Protestant ministers that salvation is by embracing Jesus as ones Personal Lord and Savior.
I guess it's no damage when the Romish church accidentally speaks the truth?

Benedict said "I quote" twice to stress the words were not his and added that violence was "incompatible with the nature of God and the nature of the soul". Even if His Unholiness, has to have the truth forced out of him.
HR2769 was reintroduced by Ron Paul with many supporters including Richard Land. It is more than the Vatican aware of such things.....which is why ind'l rhgts have become the centerpiece of the election.......without them it is one global strong arm..... (prior--rts come from Creator, natural; latter--rts come from collective mind of strong arm of man)

Why would a denomination ever allow the signing-over of parental rights to raise children according to another's doctrines, especially if those doctrines could mean Heaven-or-Hell for one's offspring? Perhaps the RCC is the wiser of the two in these mixed marriages.
