Kay Warren Preaches at Crystal Cathedral
Author Kay Warren delivered a sermon on choosing joy at the Crystal Cathedral during two Sunday worship services that were taped for the Garden Grove church's "Hour of Power" TV broadcast.

The wife of Saddleback Church founding Pastor Rick Warren adapted her message from her recently released book, Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn't Enough.

"The wife of Saddleback Church founding Pastor Rick Warren adapted her message from her recently released book, Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn't Enough."

It is no wonder that she got her message from her own self-esteem book, and not the Book, the Holy Word of God.

If people talk against people who uphold God's Word the forbids women preaching in the church, they should rather tell God, "You don't understand how things work today and that it is a proud thing to tell women they shouldn't preach."

As speaking that way to God would be absurd, realize that speaking against people who stand on the absolute authority of God's Word, is also absurd. The problem is not with people who uphold God's Word, the problem is a failure to submit to what God has said in His Word.

Of course, this may be interpreted as mere slavery with the procreative and nurturing tasks as the shackles; but, on the other hand, this biological duty may also be accepted as a divinely assigned destiny with the awesome opportunity for a woman to link hand and heart with the Creator God in bearing and preparing the next generation" (Dorothy Patterson)

Amen!

Perhaps the pill enables a 21st c. woman to pursue an MDiv and the pulpit vice children. Does taking the pill make you liberal, or does liberal make you take the pill? When 90% of the Church's economy is fueled by the pill, without any dissent from the preacher, "girl-power" is rising up, toppling the 2,000-year tradition of male-only pastors. If you're in Seminary, you might as well marry an MDiv because y'all will be co-pastors just like Joel and Victoria.

Motherhood is both a demanding and a rewarding profession. Unfortunately, the reward often comes much later in life, but a prime characteristic of the good mother is unselfishness; she can wait for the final realization of her rewards. No one—not teacher, preacher, or psychologist—has the same opportunity to mold minds, nurture bodies, and develop potential usefulness like a mother. It is both practical and consistent with the basic qualities that nature has given male and female that the woman who bears and nurses the baby should care for the young and for the dwelling in which the young live.

Aside from Women teaching children....

let me ask you a question about your statement "But women will not be used by God in the pulpit."
By what Spirit do women teach in today?

If you are referring to women who enter the pulpit they are Liberals.
Christian women do not go into the pulpit ministry.
Here is an example of Liberals working in Christ's day....
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matt 7.

Now which spirit do you think they were influenced by?

Also note...
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 1Cor 11

A rhetorical question no doubt SteveR, Women Preachers always seem to have Satan as their lovers.

Ah, and from the house that heresy built, A Different Gospel: An Evaluation of the Teachings of Robert Schuller, if she was going to preach there probably isn't a much more fitting setting, :-7 Well, unless it's her husband's church.

Note. Not that they don't have an ability to teach. But they will not be used by God in that role.
That office has be given to men only!
Aside from Women teaching children who are not their own in Spiritual Matters during Sunday School in conservative churches today, aside from these cases where a majority of what they learn about the Bible comes from a woman, let me ask you a question about your statement "But women will not be used by God in the pulpit."

By what Spirit do women teach in today?

Why is it acceptable to offer Sunday School classes at our conservative churches for our children by women less qualified to lead than Warrens wife? Yet you can so easily look down your nose at Christians at the Crystal Cathedral, a church you appear to have no respect for, for learning from a woman.
Do you share the same disdain for your children as you do for the Christians at CC?
No use giving me a hard time!
It is the Bible which I quoted that states the woman is not to teach!
Your arguement therefore is with God!

As for children.
Children are to be taught by women. That comes with the God given role of motherhood.

But women will not be used by God in the pulpit.
Note. Not that they don't have an ability to teach. But they will not be used by God in that role.
That office has be given to men only!

NB: It is only in these modern times of apostasy that we have seen this rule being broken.

For consistency and quality control, they should only beam in the finest preacher to every congregation in the world. Who has time or patience to consistently listen to your local half-baked schlock sermons? If you let your preacher go, you can save $30-40,000 each year. Then you can get the exact type of deeply-discounted live-streaming ultra-hi-def sermons that work best for you.

"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence"

Translation:
God doesn't suffer if a woman teaches, but she shouldn't lord it over the man. Co-pastor, Victoria Osteen, is just this way.

Speaking in tongues (another SA article from today), girl preachers, dancing and booze. Sounds like the SBC is taking its cues from the zero-doctrine megachurch and has written its final act.
