Christians trapped in humanitarian crisis

Human rights groups are voicing concern for the safety of the remaining Christians trapped in Sudan now that news and intelligence reports say embattled President Omar al-Bashir has declared war against the predominantly Christian South Sudan.

Roach added that a major contributing factor to the plight of the Christians is Bashirâ€™s history of anti-Christian aggression.

â€œConsidering the Bashir regimeâ€™s long history of religious intolerance, there is little to suggest that the persecution of Christians will end,â€ Roach said. ...
