TSA Forces Four Year Old Girl To Undergo Pat-Down After Unauthorized Hug From Grandma
A Missoula, Montana mother is furious with the TSA for subjecting her 4-year-old daughter to a full-body pat-down over a hug she received from her grandmother.
Little Izzy had already gone through the security scanner without incident when her grandmother triggered the alarm and was told she would need to submit to a pat-down.
"When my Four-year-old daughter noticed her Grandmother, she excitedly ran over to give her a hug, as children often do," Michelle Brademeyer wrote in a lengthy Facebook post detailing the ordeal. "They made very brief contact, no longer than a few seconds. The Transportation Security Officers(TSO) who were present responded to this very simple action in the worst way imaginable."...

Once they did take down American planes, we almost immediately went into pc mode, looking for any other potential source of this lunacy. Anything but admit who was doing it and why. We're still looking under every rock, changing the rules, hoping to alter what we already know.
Problem is, it isn't a safe world. How much illusion of safety one wants to exchange freedom for, depends on the worldview one holds. Maximum security is called that for a reason. it means minimum freedom. If that makes me a fool, I'd prefer being a free fool, than a blind one who thinks a child grope in a US airport will make a flight more comfy safe in any manner whatsoever.

You present a falsehood. There was no surrendering of all dignity. The search was not on the basis of imaginary scenarios. There was a clear violation of security procedures.

Hey DP, I agree to an extent. There is a balance that has to be struck between common sense and total lock down. Yes they use women an children. No they aren't all non white. But the vast majority are Arab/ middle eastern, and not anything like what we saw in this case.

As bad as this is, it is just the natural politically correct response to the threat that Islam imposes. In Afghanistan, we had to be very cautious of kids, mentally and physically handicapped, and women as well because the Taliban was strapping them with explosives and sending them to our checkpoints and security perimeters.
The problem here is that we are blanket searching everyone instead of using profiling. If our pc government would quit treating Muslims with kid gloves, then it wouldn't be necessary to search our own children.
