Homosexual activists are demanding cities across Kansas add sexual orientation and âgender identityâ to their protected classes, a move attorneys warn could hit even churches and other faith-based groups.
âHuman Relations Commissions and/or homosexual activist groups in Lawrence, Hutchinson, Salina, Wichita and Pittsburg have asked their respective city councils to add âsexual orientationâ and âgender identityâ to protected classes,â Liberty Counsel Action reported.
Lawrence passed the ordinance and the Hutchinson city council will vote May 1, the group said.
The organization noted, âIf the Hutchinson city measure passes, places of worship that rent out to the general public would be required to rent out their building for homosexual marriages or drag queen parties.â...
As much as this all seems hopeless these groups that are doing their best to do away with God are on a path that is yet to be seen. Given enough time they will show their true colors more and more until the people of this country have had enough. I don't think people have seen them for what they really are "depraved" and depraved people do depraved things. I really don't believe this country wants to go where they are they are trying to lead us. I'ts kind of like a cute puppy that grows into a growling monster, once it begins to bite then someting has to be done to stop it or it will turn on all.
I think that we, American Christians, have just become too comfortable in our status in this country. We are well on our way to suffering the same fate as Christians in the rest of the world. Unfortunately, like our Israelite forefathers, we have found ourselves in the cycle of sin where we turn to God, He saves is and blesses us, then we steadily become complacent and turn away, and ultimately we suffer the wrath of correction by God to turn us back to Him.
Christians are going to have to find new ways of organizing and communicating and passing on the doctrines of faith to the next generation. Are we all just waiting for someone to call the elephant in the room first?
