Famed pastor Joel Osteen reiterated his position that Mitt Romney is a Christian on Tuesday, saying as long as the likely GOP presidential nominee believes that Jesus is the Son of God then he subscribes to the Christian faith.
"When I hear Mitt Romney say that he believes that Jesus is the Son of God–that he's the Christ, raised from the dead, that he's his Savior–that's good enough for me," Osteen said in an interview to air on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer."
Dr. James White said on his podcast this week that Islam is closer to Christianity than Mormonism. He said he can't think of a more polytheistic religion than the Latter Day Saints. At least Islam is monotheistic as is the trinitarian Christian. If Romeny's Christian then so were all of those erudite Greeks on Mars Hill.
Nevertheless, he said that he will vote for Romney because as bad as his theology is, he's not evil.
Personally speaking, anyone who says that Jesus is the brother of Lucifer who ascended to be God as Mormonism teaches is at best, unenlightened or at worst, deceived. Franklin Graham said he couldn't judge what was in Obamas heart, so that applies to Romney too. What amazes me is the tolerant spirit many have toward the Reagan brand on church attending Christian faith and the denunciation of the confession of Obamas professed faith. Granted...his liberal policies don't always reflect it but neither do the rights' policies that lack compassion for the poor...etc. The judgmentalism must stop and fervent prayer must begin. May God help our great, so called Christian nation and deliver us from modern say Pharasaism.
OSTEEN is a watered down version of a Christian. I donylt agree with 95% of what he says. He claims mormans are Christians and so is Obama so funny its sad. I think he needs medication.
