The Sunday Times has waded into the redefining marriage debate and accused David Cameron of pushing for an “unnecessary” change.
Last month Ben Bradshaw, a former Labour Cabinet Minister who is himself in a civil partnership, branded David Cameron’s plan to rewrite the definion of marriage as “pure politics”.
Now The Sunday Times has backed Mr Bradshaw’s comments and accused the Prime Minister of trying to redefine marriage for “political reasons”.
The church has already redefined marriage with its acceptance and even promotion of divorce and falsely so-called "remarriage," which is adultery. After that, pretty much anything goes.
"Mr Cameron is pushing gay marriage and picking a fight with the church for political reasons. It is indeed unnecessary.”"
I think if we look deeper into the dark and dusty depths of the politicians brain we will see the ego assisted desire for vote catching ideology is at the bottom of this barrel. This stems from the delusion that the people actually agree with politicians.
Alternatively if we look through the Bible lens we will see Satan and sin at work and in conflict.
If Cameron is "picking a fight with the church" - Which one? The C of E is predomninantly in agreement with him.
The real Church of course is completely invisible to Cameron and Westminster.
