Obama Opposes Minn. Marriage Amendment, Courts Gay Activists in Fla.
Obama voiced his opposition to Minnesota's marriage amendment on Monday and took time to drop in on a Democratic National Committee fundraiser Tuesday evening aimed at South Florida's gay community.
Similar to the one being proposed in North Carolina this year, the Minnesota marriage amendment would define marriage in the state's constitution as between a man and a woman. In an uncommon move for a sitting president, Obama has come out and opposed both states' efforts to outlaw same-sex marriage.
"Frankly, I think it's unfortunate that the president of the United States is getting involved in a state issue," Minnesota Congressman Steve Gottwalt (R- St. Cloud) told the Star Tribune. "But that's certainly his right."...
1) No need for a list, unless you now believe in same-sex marriage rights? I do not. 2) Empires rise and fall. The Word of the Lord stands forever. 3) Then you will lose, and you will lose unrighteously.
These wrote: 1)Nonsense. It is YOU that opposes legal rights for those you disagree with.
2)Your problem is you make your claim based upon a constitution that simply does not address the issue.
3)Show some backbone and argue your case based upon the Bible!
1) A list, please?
2) Wrong. Issues not addressed are left for the States, or the people to decide. It's called the 10th Amendment. Even people who want the federal government in their bedroom should be able to comprehend these 28 words.
3) When the president argues his case against marriage based on the Bible, I'll be happy to argue my case for marriage based on the Bible.

He's an uncommon president, what care he for trivialities like the Constitution, or legal rights for those who disagree with him? They're in the way of hope and change and lowering the sea levels and providing good jobs for the jobless and ending war and letting people keep the health insurance they already have and not making people buy health insurance. Oh wait, that was just 2008 campaign speechmaking.
As a Christian, I will continue to pray stedfast concerning this ungodly government and the leadership. This wicked government is determined to clearing REDEFINE DOMA. I pray this will be unsuccessful and also that states like MN will not succumb under pressure. I like to comment that there was a reference in the article about the president mentioning (as usual), homosexuals and discrimination. As Christians, we treat everyone equally and love them (goes without saying really)-----BUT we DO discriminate against the lifestyle!! This government is forever twisting words to get acceptance of this wicked lifestyle.
