Bible society is unable to hand out Bibles bearing the Olympics logo at London 2012
Under the Communist regime in China, the Bible Society was able to hand out copies of the Good Book with the Olympic logo emblazoned on the front cover at the 2008 games. At London 2012, however, it has been ruled out.
“The idea was to give them out during the Olympics, as a Christian welcome to our country,” says the society’s spokesman, Rachel Rounds. “We had a special sports Bible prepared, with extra information in the front about what the Bible has to say about sport.”
The charity has now abandoned the idea because of Olympic rules regarding the use of the logo....

Why would they want an emblem of a pagan Greek game, that glorified the pagan gods! Someone did the right thing stopping them from putting that on a Bible. Apparently, this group fell flat on its face, when running the race in China.

Even if the request had have been made,this crowd would have found some other excuse to stop the Bibles being distributed. Cold place for Christ but warm for every other imaginable evil. I wonder how many adverts there will be posted for booze? As an afterthought..the cash allotted for the Olympics has already been overspent by Billions & not honestly.

The Bible Society should have checked, obviously someone in management failed to do their job properly. Anyway I should imagine they have other non-logo Bibles on the shelf to use. In todays politically correct western world these things cannot now be taken for granted. Christianity, church and Bible are being actively rejected and fought against by the reprobates and their increasingly secular society. There is no fear of God in them!
