Mosques in the United States have doubled in number since the September 11 attacks, with urban and suburban centers seeing an uptick in mosque construction over the last decade, according to a new report.
"This is a growing, healthy Muslim community that is well integrated into America," Ihsan Bagby, who headed the research project -- which was sponsored by the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Hartford Institute for Religion Research, among other groups -- told The Washington Post. "Researchers conducting the national count found a total of 2,106 Islamic centers, compared to 1,209 in 2000 and 962 in 1994," The Washington Post reported.
The Washington Post offers the statistic as a sign of the Muslim-American community triumphing over the anti-Muslim "backlash" supposed to be demonstrated by the opposition to the so-called Ground Zero mosque in New York City. But maybe the data...
Of COURSE mosques have doubled.. and lets get honest about WHY this happened. While those ministers who profess the the Christian faith from the teeth outward were busy flling their pockets with "faith based" goodies and feigning to their congregations "selfless" prison ministries- making us parishioners feel guilt not parting with our last dime for Malawi missions (which were already heavily financed by your grant monies ), those islamics and papists were getting quadruple your funding quietly and so the next step is "Christian" minister and the true Christians may soon get to be reeducated under islamic / papal rule in those same prisons the christian church once was paid to perform ministries. Christian heads will be chopped off too. Your compromise has a cost, friend. So does your silence. Anyone who believed the Bible at all would know this is natural end human depravity. Our country was founded upon the blood of Christians that withstood a state-church. Iz is smiling because the baby boom generation of America was afraid enough to trade out their rights that their forefathers lost their lives to preserve for us for security ----security not in the ind'l rights of a people but coming from state, run by atheists, and globalists. Not sure why it is such an enticement to ask openly anti-Christian politicians to take those rights and replace them with a surveillance society. And of course in this new system Iz will thrive, and that is the great irony. Trading ind' rights for statism isn't smart, when trying to avoid a religion based on statism.
Quite true, Don, our government needs to demand that Christians are to be protected and have a right to worship and build churches in Muhammadan countries!
