Professor: 'Obama May Be The Most Explicity Christian President in American History'
President Obama has consistently reiterated in interviews and speeches that he’s a Christian. But his often overt proclamations haven’t stopped critics from pointing to what they see as inexcusable inconsistencies. The president’s support for abortion rights, his infrequent church attendance and his contraceptive mandate have been only a few of the targets that detractors have pointed to when criticizing his stated faith.

Now, a Messiah College (a Christian higher educational facility) history professor has come to Obama’s defense with some bold claims in a column published on Patheos.com. John Fea, who chairs the Grantham, Pennsylvania, college’s history department, wrote that President Barack Obama “may be the most explicitly Christian president in American history.” Considering the ongoing debate over religious freedom and the contraceptive mandate that has been foisted upon the Catholic Church, ...

interesting comment, San Jose John about George Wallace.
Wikipedia about George Wallace wrote:
Change of positions

Wallace announced that he was a born-again Christian in the late 1970s, and apologized to black civil rights leaders for his earlier segregationist positions. He said that while he had once sought power and glory, he realized he needed to seek love and forgiveness.[note 3] In 1979, Wallace said of his stand in the schoolhouse door: "I was wrong. Those days are over and they ought to be over."[4] His final term as Governor (1983–1987) saw a record number of black appointments to government positions.[43] Also in his final term, Wallace was the first governor to appoint two black members in the same cabinet, a number that has been equalled but never surpassed…

excerpt from,George Wallace

Apparently a governor, not a President of course, who did become a Christian? However, he seemed to have a divorce or two after this change of heart on segregation.

Actions speak louder than words. Obama has made it very very clear that he is for homosexuality, abortion, evolution, fornication, etc. If that is Christianity, then everyone on this planet is a Christian. God help us all!

It's new speak. Obama did it all. He's never uttered a curse word, his lips have never touched alcohol, and the only hand gesture he's ever made is to salute the American flag. Truly, he is the most cherished of all real, authentic, Christian American citizens.

The western church has been shown it's failing once again, yet refuse to do anything about it. BO is a christian by the standard accepted by most in this country, and applauded by many so called churches.

"Obama “may be the most explicitly Christian president in American history.”"

This professor may be the most explicitly erroneous, fallacious, faulty, flawed, inaccurate, Liberal in American history.

Oh, there is some room for disagreement with the professor's statement. Woodrow Wilson, Harry Truman, and even Jimmy Carter could have been considered more Christian from their personal testimonies anyway. I would also say, Howard Taft and William McKinley might also be said to have been better Christians. The test for being a President was not if he were a Christian or not, however. Some of the best ones, e.g. George Washington were not Christian.
Yep.

I'm told that even George Wallace claimed to be a "born-again Christian" back in the 1960s when he was running for president. In fact, he may have actually been responsible for coining that now popular phrase used by many to describe an "authentic" Christian.

"Professor: 'Obama May Be The Most Explicity Christian President in American History'".

Replace the word "Christian" with "Social-Justice" and I couldn't agree more!
